Topic: My nnpc imterview

Hi all,
Pls I need a clarification. I applied for the GT, finance position. However,on the test day, I assessed d options and thought I have a better chance of making it past the interview stage if I do the IT option.
I've been called for the interview but am wondering which interview panel I'll get to face, finance or IT.
Also, will I look unserious because of that?

had mine

was asked some ICT questions based on my cv, though i am mech. later they said " lets move u away from ICT cos we are not employing u as one"
so i was aked questions like unit of pressure, name 5 subsidiary or nnpc, difference between pumps and compressors, arrange water, AGO, Petrol and kerosene in a bottle which will be ontop of which, whats the meaning of napims etc

i missed about 2 they educated me on them, i asked them how many people would be employed, they were like it depends on performance that anyone that performs brilliantly will be employed

is dat being selfish or just bein wicked.
Anyway, i did mine on tue, 2/8/11 and it was pleasing. the head of the interviewing panel is the GM of ph refinery company and there were five more ppo.
QUES
1. tel me bout ursef
2. tel me bout nnpc, wen was it formed
CAREER QUE (MECH)
3. what is petroleum refinning?
4. what are valves?
5. types of valves
6. explain check valves
7. what is wangy welding?
8. what is a compressor?
9. what is the function of the compressor?
10. why did u leave ur previous job?

in summary, they made it very interactive and, to me, it was like they wanted the job for me, even more than i wanted it for myself. Since i studied mech, i was in panel 1.

as for the entrance, its samme protocal as explained by YDA.

MY NNPC INTVW EXPRNCE. I had mine on Tue 2nd Aug and it was ok. The same procedure like confirming ur name in their list of the day & giving u two forms to fill; one abt ursef and acct details and the 2nd abt former & present jobs, salary expectatn & ur achivemts. I was put in panel one. I don’t know d criteria 4 arranging one in d panels cos I stdied Agric ext and there are pet engr, comp sc, elect engr etc in d same panel. On entering, d head of d panel (a woman) asked wn I came into Abuja( I thnk 2 make me feel relax) & dy introdce demsef. She then asked me;
“If we are 2 employ only one person, tell us why it shld be u” I answd by relating my field to d human res mgt wc is impt in any orgstn. One of dem said dy can see dt I’m a guru in agric, don’t I feel dt I’m supposed 2fit in more in d ministry of agric wia there are farmers. I answd him dt farmers are human being like nnpc workers. Dia was alsora qstn on nnpc sbsdries.
The qstn dt threw me off bal was what I know abt biofuel wia I was explainin fossil fuel but one dem correctd me. Above all I thnk God 4 d confidence He put on me in d intvw room. I beliv it was God dt startd d whole thing 4 me & He will finish it well (Insha Allahu).
