@ Usi..don't worry about the flop..it happens like that sometimes; the next ones will be better. I think on the issue of uniqueness you should point things that make u stand out from a crowd...from everybody else. You should emphasize your strengths but also stress that u are very motivated, can work effectively under pressure and that you are very creative.....you have to remember that most of these things don't have straight answers..but u must always be able to leave a good, lasting impression.
@ Nnekaum, i think one will have to list aspects of the company that match your profile. U can emphasize things like the fact that company is a world class company consistently breaking barriers setting trends which are aspects of your work ethic that u value greatly. U have to let them know that u are aware of their profile and u believe u are capable to making a unique contribution.......sometimes the next question that follows this is 'If we are to offer you a post, where would you want it to be?' ....This is actually like a trick question,....the ultimate answer is that you are ready to work with the company in any location.

thank u very much yinka. what if u r asked to a question such as "what is the relation between the course u studied say, geology and the banking sector?"

@ Bussylin...u'll need to draw their attention to the fact that the challenging nature of your course inspired and propelled you to aspire for any position, even those that seem outside your field. The truth is that since you could excel under challenging that environments and you know u'll be able to deliver in the banking sector.
So many engineers, geologists etc are working in banks and other sectors not related to their courses.
The course you read is not as important as your ability to sell your skills and job efficiency.

I think you'll have to talk about the fact that in 5 years time, u see yourself at a position where you would have acquired the necessary skills and on the job training/exposure to make more and more contributions to organizational excellence. The ultimate answer to the question is to express the fact that you see yourself as growing in five years and thus helping the company to grow as well.
