But how can the test be skill test when Engineers and Geoscientists are involved...**just wondering**
Or will each person be given a unique question based on the person's discipline??
Please, who has an idea?
Guys, please I need your advice. Must my referees be an academic?
@chaisman and @Monomex: The standard test in previous years used to be just aptitude test (with a possibility of writing a second aptitude test or general engineering test for some candidates). However, the information on the site says it will be a skills test this time around. I will suggest you dust up on your general engineering (for engineers) and science (for geosicentists) and also try read up the basics of the course you are applying for as much as time will permit you.
@theo_magic: the information on the site says you should use an academic referee while you are applying. However, you are to use "a person of note in the community or state" as a referee for the verification stage.
@DYNAMO1: Must my referees be an academic? Please advice me.
@DYNAMO1: thanks for the reply, where can I get the academic referee cos I cant find it on their site... Thanks
Has anyone in the house got the text message as part of the application verification?
@coconut and @theo_magic: Do check under the To apply steps, step Number 5. I should mention I have not gone through the application process itself. I am merely stating what I can see on the site. The referee required for the verification stage is the one that is supposed to be someone of note in the community (step 4 under the To verify for this Scholarship steps). This is what I can surmise from the instructions o the site. If it is at all different from what obtains in the actual application process, then it is that they have a bunch of wrong instructions on the site.
@dynamo1: the actual application form does not provide any information as to providing the academic referee. However, the verification only stated that "Referee must be person of note in ur community, eg. an elder statesman, deacon, Rev etc"
