ABCD actually has alot to offer. But why the ridicule of the hopefuls before now?
What we see naturally is controlled in the supernatural.
I pray that God will give us grace to control our world in the spiritual realm.
It is well, we will make it.

Why can't Federal Govt sponsor all the 449 graduates instead of 100 here. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/201...hip-slots.html

I have been trying to help some people change their mindset so that they can easily get a better job that is why I used the psychological test used by Total as an example. I did not participate in the last exercise and as a matter of fact I will soon leave the company. A government establishment I want to work with is NCC. I have heard that one needs to be connected to get in but I have not seen it like that once. I will get in when I am ready to. What I want from some guys here is to maintain a positive outlook. Suggesting that having a 1st class makes one better than a 2.1 is out of place. I wish all the best. I have come to realize in the past few months that it is not enough to have the academic qualification alone, your view about life also matters and that is what I want all of us to keep in mind especially if you want to go for international positions.
Also someone asked a question about positions being advertised and no one being taken. it can and does happen. If a company does not find the right candidate for a particular position then there is no point picking just anybody. This seldom happens in Nigeria but those that have schooled abroad might know this. infact companies will tell you if they do not find the right candidates they re advertise. I have several examples.
Finally I wish you all the very best in life and will offer job search tips to people who need it.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

With or without second batch, my fellow hopefuls, just believe that you will make it in life...by this time last year, none of those now employed by NNPC knew they will be with NNPC, and same will happen in a year's time from now. Again, some of us may not work with NNPC now but later as high rank employees whereas some will end up being- senators, reps, governors, directors, successful entrepreneurs, renowned authors, actors, musicians, professors, employers of labor, perm secs, CEOs, military officers, high rank force men, pilots, known men of God, some may later travel out of the country to become great Nigerians in diaspora, shakers of the entertainment industry, etc...so do not be discourage by your failure now...see it as part of life challenges and move on with or without NNPC...Again, it may be for good purpose that God has exempted some of us from not working with NNPC. Such as:1. To exempt you from an untimely death that may arise from office tuzzle that do always exist in most Nigerian parastaltals like NNPC2. To uplift you higher than just an NNPC employee becos failure in this job may cause many to seek for higher careers, while some will even go into business or travel out for good, etc, which may uplift them higher in future than just being a company employee3. To draw you closer to God for a purpose becos some people who may have gotten this job may have ended up in future living an extravagant and immoral life that will end them up in regret4. To prepare you for a better tomorrow becos some people who may have gotten this job may end up believing that they have gotten to their final destination and stop taking steps to go higher and to be closer to God, and so end up being just a low paid NNPC staff while their mates employ masses in futureMy fellow hopefuls and no longer hopefuls, in all situation in life, give thanks…because some people are dying and fasting to get to the point you are in life. Don’t forget brothers that I once cried, wept, and wept, and even asked God lots of questions I wasn’t supposed to ask, not only because of this NNPC job, but for several other things happening in my life, and then, I sat back one day and count my blessings and I began to give thanks to God for the things he had been doing in my life and still doing and about to do. Maybe some of the things God has been doing in your life may not look so glossy and appealing to you when compared to what you believe he had been doing for John and Peter your friends and neighbors or school mates…but do not forget that the life you have presently is a rare gift that most couldn’t afford, the good health, the complete body parts- eyes, nose, ears, hands, legs, lungs, kidney (have you ever seen someone suffering kidney failure or liver problem?), etc…again, you being a graduate is a blessing becos so many youths out there who are even better you and I, had no opportunity to pass through the walls of higher institution. It doesn’t matter your present certificate, HND, OND, B.Sc, despite the discriminations, just be strong and thank God. You graduating with 2.1, first class, upper credit, distinction, etc to have qualified you to apply for NNC job is a blessing you ought to count becos some guys who were better than you couldn’t graduate with 2.1, upper credit or first class and distinction…I graduated with close to a distinction, not just becos I am better than the rest of my course-mates then, but becos God chose it that way…so don’t see yourself as the best or think its your power and strength. When you read and understand and still remember it when asked in exam, give thanks becos some people cannot even concentrate to read or understand when they read, not just by their making, but its what they inherited unknowingly as they grow…so for you to be able to read, comprehend and remember during exams, it’s a blessing you should give thanks for when you feel like complaining….In all my fellow hopefuls, give thanks as we keep hoping, but then, with or without NNPC, do not be discouraged in seeking for success and greater height in other fields of life. I will soon come back here to give you guys a feed back on what we can jointly do to uplift ourselves even in face of this present unemployment in Nigeria…but for now, I wish you all a great future beyond NNPC employee!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

This is the best i have ever read here. Could you people believe that at some point this year I was begging God to save me from an attack from the pit of hell that almost cost me my life and He did it. If you think of his preservation of your life and know that it is for a purpose then you wont worry about this job. The time i stopped feeling bad about not yet being called was when i thought of the fact that if God does not sanction it and i get employed and posted to one of the nation's hot spots and get killed what have i achieved? Once you are in tune with God. If you are called then thank God If not then Thank God because He will work out his purpose in all our lives. I already have a budding testimony which i would not give prematuredly and it does not bother on NNPC job. There is life outside NNPC. Lets keep praying that His will be done in our lives. it is not all of us that will work in NNPC. Someone I know came back from UK to pick up a lucrative job in MOBIL while i was still envious of his new job, he resigned and travelled back to UK. God has the best plans for all of us and that we are not in Igbobi and any hospital is something to thank God for.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

    Gd day all.
@ Jobfront: TNX4D encouraging post.In it, u mentiond something very timely for this forum of discouraged hopefuls- WHAT CAN WE JOINTLY DO TO UPLIFT OURSELVES EVEN IN THE FACE OF THIS PRESENT UNEMPLOYMENT?
Let us join forces and make this forum one to be remembered long after this mess.
Let us eventualy leave this forum in style just like our 'former forum mates turned NNPC staffs'.
    How about:
A special JOB SEARCH network(a job search 'cabal' of sorts that help us to generate suggestions, refer and recommend ourselves to apropiat employers through all kinds of leads ; An online business(dont forget we have over 2million viewers here); An offline company etc.

I am keenly aware that you already have some ideas, as is the case with many others here.

@ All: My submission and that of jobfront
are in no way, attempts to extinguish the 2nd batch hope. Rather, they have been made for the dual sake of contingency and providence.

Your reactions (positive or negative) to this will be welcome.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

At this point in my hoping as a resilient hopeful , I have this song of hope to sing:

My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus name

When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil

His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way
He then is all my hope and stay

On Christ the solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

    Rom 8
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

In all of this, I call to mind Rom 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed;..."

In warri. You understand the system. That is what is killing it and I hope things change soon especially with PIB.
