    @JAJAMARK,
    we are on the same page. That is the same information I have been trying to pass across. I have been trying to help some people change their mindset so that they can easily get a better job that is why I used the psychological test used by Total as an example. I did not participate in the last exercise and as a matter of fact I will soon leave the company. A government establishment I want to work with is NCC. I have heard that one needs to be connected to get in but I have not seen it like that once. I will get in when I am ready to. What I want from some guys here is to maintain a positive outlook. Suggesting that having a 1st class makes one better than a 2.1 is out of place. I wish all the best. I have come to realize in the past few months that it is not enough to have the academic qualification alone, your view about life also matters and that is what I want all of us to keep in mind especially if you want to go for international positions.
    Also someone asked a question about positions being advertised and no one being taken. it can and does happen. If a company does not find the right candidate for a particular position then there is no point picking just anybody. This seldom happens in Nigeria but those that have schooled abroad might know this. infact companies will tell you if they do not find the right candidates they re advertise. I have several examples.
    Finally I wish you all the very best in life and will offer job search tips to people who need it.

    Bebrief is right and he is now a staff. The best he can do is PM on non-sensitive info. As a staff he can be fired on the spot moreso he must have signed oat of secrecy. A beg O, I no wan that, this jon wey take 2 years .
    Secondly, most of them now have faces unlike me. They are now known, Bebrief, Alanu, Terraco, Dan, Ela etc They are now posting on an online forum as a staff of NNPC.[

    I remember as a kid, my whole street converged to watch a truck deliver a very large satellite dish to my neighbour's house. Today a dish one tenth that size delivers 5 times the value and is in almost every student hostel room.

    What of the Volkswagen Santana, Mercedes Benz V booth, all overtaken by Camry and Honda discussions? .... Vanity.
    A friend declared drinks for the boys because he just launched the Nokia Communicator for over a hundred grand in 2002. Today that phone would embarrass the owner and is a joke compared to the low cost and everyday phone.

    People still make the most amazing sacrifices over the vainest of things, make enemies over worthless material things. What can I say? Look back at that one thing you want to kill or die for today and see what becomes of it tomorrow.
    Slow down with the sense of attachment and blind pursuit of things, for today's gold is tomorrow's copper...
    @jajamark:
    your words and command of english are very appropriate.
    the wisdom behind your words are however more potent than the words or use of the english.
    one thing i'm sure about is that this forum has brought me in contact with great minds.
    just wish that this thread would be sustained for as long as possible.
    long live great minds of this land, in Jesus' name. AMEN.
