Break it down
Your cover letter should have three sections. The first is self introduction and the post you are applying for. The second should present your skills and how it would benefit the company you are applying to and the third section should be a wrap-up on your desire for an interview.
The first part should well define the post you are applying for along with the reference numbers and ensure that you include where you saw it advertised. For example “Please accept my resume as application for the position of Sales Representative (Job Reference Yf 385) which was advertised in the Vangard newspapers ”.
