LogistiQ Xpeditors, a logistics company based in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria is seeking to employ a Junior Documentation officer.

JOB SUMMARY
The key area of responsibility will be to ensure that all logistics documentation tasks are achieved in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner by ensuring proper processes are in place.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Prepare full spectrum of shipping documents.
• Monitor and ensure accurate and up-to-date shipment list in data spreadsheet daily.
• Coordinate with customer / internal departments for shipment, L/C and amendments.
• Leveraging on Electronic Data Interface (EDI) to disseminate timely and accurate information to support Local operations team, client ,Suppliers, Origin Operations team in processing all necessary shipping documentation to successfully manage Logistic service & Procurement process
• Assist in Pre-shipment Planning and Advisory Services to ensure clients have all required import permits and the actual clearing and documentation perfection
• Respond to RFQ’s from Business Development Unit, that is, Preparing DDP & DDU, Destination and origin handling quotes, customs duty calculations, Customs documentation and perfection.
• Monitoring, global shipment tracking and reporting flight details, cycle time, available through Expeditors International
• Processing of Form-M, follow-up on Letter of Credit establishment and Advising Parties in chain
• Liaising with Scanning/Inspection Agents and Transacting Bank
• Advice updates on Harmonized Codes , Tariffs and Customs Regulation
• Computing Customs Duty & Taxes and Effecting Payment

REQUIREMENTS

BSc/HND in any discipline and at least 2 years work experience.
The candidate must be highly computer literate as the job entails working with a computer system.
Good communication skills
