Re: DID GOVERNOR FASHOLA INTRODUCE LASTMA TO PUNISH MOTORIST

No doubt the Lagos state government meant well when it set up the LASTMA to ease traffic bottlenecks and without mincing words, one can say there's been a remarkable improvement.
Regrettably, we should expect that for an Agency like LASTMA that parades some of the most uncouth set of people in Lagos State as it's employees, nefarious acts like you mentioned will always be a recurring issue.
However, it takes two to tango! If drivers in Lagos (both private and commercial) don't drive recklessly, I am more certain that LASTMA will have no cause to "extort" money from any driver.

Please note that LASTMA was not introduced by Gov. Fashola but during Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu's administration as the governor of Lagos State.
