My dear Jesus Army, in as much as i understand your argument on the termination of the GMD appointment from a statement from media assistant of the president, i want to say that considering the present law guiding the petroleum industry, his status can not be compared with the status of the CBN governor. CBN governor derives his power from the CBN Act 2007 not the Constitution. Looking into the PIB, the directorates, Inspectorates, Regulatory Authorities, Regulatory Agencies, NNPC Ltd, Research Centres, Exploration Service and Funds. All these will have their DGs and Executive Secretaries with the sections providing for their qualifications, appointments, tenure and removal. Nobody will be able to remove these people without due process. I am not saying that the PIB is the ultimate but i believe when it is passed and tested, subsequent amendments will be made as time goes on. We pray fervently for better Nigerian oil industry.
