The story is changing now. We were told that there is a second list which was compiled about the same time with the first list but now we are hearing there is no second list but a waiting list. which one do we believe?

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

Goodmorning fellow hopefuls and non-hopefuls. I feel inspired whenever I finish going through this thread- it tells me how great Nigerian youths will soon be. We all have expressed a deep sense of ambition and enthusiasm, which ought to be commended. But it is quite unfortunate that due to past leadership corruption and failed promises by the politicians, that all Nigerian youths of today are now paying for the past evil deeds, both directly and indirectly. Without wasting our time, I want to brief us on what I had been brainstorming on, as regards to how we can still make it even bigger with or without NNPC job and the likes. Please I urge all of you reading this to please read it with a positive mental attitude and not with negative mindset, so that we can achieve greatness that I am foreseeing already.

I believe God has a purpose for everything that happens in this life, and maybe the purpose for this recruitment, the delay, the thread, etc is gradually coming to a joyful manifestation, how? Please read on.

From the number of views and comments we already have on this thread, I want to believe that we have not less than 1000 youths hoping and waiting for this NNPC job plus another huge number who didn’t applied or weren’t eligible or missed out for one reason or the other, which means we should be having not less than 2000 youths out there with no job or under-employed with unhealthy welfare and working packages. Haven made this clear, the question now is: WHAT CAN WE DO JOINTLY TO UPLIFT OURSELVES AND TO CREATE A STRONG UNITED PLATFORM TO MAKE US USEFUL AND GAINFULLY EMPLOYED YOUTHS WITH GREAT FUTURE? My own answer to the above question lies in the next few paragraphs to come.

I have an idea. My idea is for us to form a united group of companies to render services to this nation and beyond, how? I am proposing a united company with the name: United Nigerian Graduate Youths Workforce (UNGYW) or United Graduates of Nigeria Group.

Within this group of companies, we will have at least four independent companies based on service sector.

    1. Greenland Engineers & Technicians Co. Ltd
This very company will unite all engineering graduates- B.sc, B.Eng, HND, and maybe OND holders. We will have welders, mechanics, electricians, etc coming together to form a strong, determined and focused engineering company rendering great engineering and technical services to Nigerians and beyond in the oil and gas sector, construction, manufacturing, etc sectors. We will deliberate more on how to structure it so we can achieve greatness and success for all. Don’t forget that we will have our management folks with us to manage things, so the accountants, managers, marketers, etc will come in here.

    2. Greenland Entertainment Co. Ltd
This very company will unite all talented Nigerian graduates in areas of juju, hip hop, high life, rap, etc music, and maybe with an expansion in movie making that is different from NOLLYWOOD style and standard. Through this, we will hunt for talents, sponsor them, produce and market them on an agreed percentage. We may even end up having our own version of talent hunt program like MTN project fame and the rest of them, and then look for sponsors.

    3. Greenland Employers Co Ltd
This company will focus on recruiting talented Nigerian youth graduates for other organizations. The aim will be for recruitment consulting, etc.

What do you guys think about my proposal? I believe strongly that if we can jointly pull our meager resources together, say 20,000naira multiplied by 1000, just guess how much we will be having to start up, but with 20,000naira as an individual, we cannot go anywhere. So let’s deliberate on this. This proposal is irrespective of second batch or not…it will continue whether second batch or not, I am in for it…let’s hear your opinions. Thank you all for your attention.

My Brother. This idea is very laudable, but will not work as we are very very selfish people. Once this 2nd list comes out , the number of people will shrink.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

@Kalokalo, lets be positive about it & hear others out. Remember, 120k plus people applied for NNPC job in 2010, 44k were invited for test, 4k made it to interview stage, 500 got the offer so far, so are you saying that all the 4k applicants will be offered the job when the awaiting 2nd batch comes out? For sure if it does come out, not all will be offered employment, & those that didn't get he job must live on, they must succeed, they must seek for greatness whether with NNPC or not, so this is a great avenue for us all to unite for greatness & to beat this present unemployment & even surprise the govt. & employers that we Nigerian youths can survive with or without them. Remember partnership is the only Nigerians can overcome this present unemployment in the nation. If most one-man business we have in Nigeria today did pulled themselves together as one, they would have been waxing bigger than they are as one-man business, but instead tom will open a small welding shop, opens his own carpentry workshop, james opens a panel beating place, etc & at the end they cannot compete well in the field. we need to partner for greatness my fellow youths. lets be positive about this pls.
