News: The GMD, NNPC, Austin Oniwon has told Senate Committee on Petroleum (Upstream) that the corporation has surpassed its revenue target for 2011 by $3billion.
Oniwon said the revenue target was $13.9billion but earned $16.7billion.

That is not revenue! Cash call is the percentage contribution Nigeria makes towards the running of their Joint Ventures(JV's) with International Oil Companies(IOC's).Most of the times,Nigeria through NNPC is been owed their portion of the contribution.Therefore, what this entails is, this time around we were able to pay over and above our said contribution for 2011.....

Agreed with you 100%, thats what the paper reported.I guess today's SUN newspaper made a better report of that titled "Nigeria to earn $85bn from oil –Alison-Madueke: Demands closed session on PIB". Nonetheless, as you rightly said our main aim now is to get the offer letters released.That will hopefully happen before the end of this year....
