I thought it was wide spread that the closing date for the NDDC oversea postgraduate Scholarship is 30th August 2010. I just saw online now that the application is currently closed. can somebody translate the meaning of that statement cos I dont seem to understand.

What don't you understand? It is closed. Itz been on for over two weeks. Why didn't you apply since? It was stated there on the website that the application will close on the 30th of August. If they chose to close it today, thatz it. Is that not the same "wili wili" tactic that Chevron used? Everyone that has registered should switch to faith mode.

Hello guys I have applied but didn’t see a place to upload recommendation letter. Also, when I tried logging into the portal yesterday with my email and reg. number, I receive this message ‘ failure to access db’. Did any of you experience this problem?

@ aliusunday, if the application is no longer available then there is nothing anyone can do about it. The whole thing has been funny from day 1. I don't know anyone in NDDC neither do I work there. I'm an applicant like you and only posted the information I could gather for others to benefit. It is always advisable to apply early for such things as your control over the whole process is restricted. Sorry if you missed out on this. My tone in my previous post was that way cos I've been pissed off about the whole NDDC stuff. It wasn't directed at you. All the best.

@ Emma.MSc, I also didn't see anywhere to upload the recommendation letter. The annoying thing about the site is that one can't even login to view the submission status or update a few details. So don't worry yourself. God dey.

at times, our authorities just dont know how to go about certain things. releasing a scholarship ad in August for programs that are suppose to start as from September (or was it meant for 2011?). hope dey stop all these kangaroo
approach for things that has to do with people's destiny.
