You should be able to deduce calculations without thinking too much. The use of calculators is irrelevant. You are no longer in the aptitude stage and a calculator will not give any advantage. If the problems require calculators, they'll let you use them. Considering the number of candidates, i doubt the interview will be the same day. (Don't quote me on that oo)
POI hope this helps

The possibility depends on Mobil keeping to schedule. You probably would be using just a floor at Canton House and believe me accreditation would always take some time and that would be the deciding factor.

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)

As per the houston center, well, unless boyz are doing some serious "under g", i haven't heard of anyone in the US writing the skills test. Maybe only a "select" few got through. I still don't think it was a wise decision to use the same basis/score/criteria to judge everyone. The foreign guys didn't get the opportunity to re-write this test so using a common scale for foreign and nigerian centres was/is a "goof" in my opinion. Anyway, good luck to all taking the test.

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
For petroleum engineering guys: revise the basics of your reservoir engineering (preferably by skimming thru Tarek Ahmad). A good petroleum engineer should be able to play around pressure like a toy, so be sure that 50% of your questions will contain pressure related exercises. Pressure gradients, productivity index, API, decline curve analysis and so on should be in your finger tips. Master the recovery mechanisms with their various xteristics as well as types of oil reservoirs. As usual, porosity, permeability and saturation things are expected. All the best guys!

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
ATTENTION!!!!
(Check your spam folder 1st, I didn't realize i was invited for this test until a few hours ago. Y? cos the mail was in my spam folder all along!)
If Chevron test is anything to go by then i speculate the test for 2mao will have standard engineering questions that engineers from all fields are expected to know.
That said, i will advise you should focus of basic engineering designs and calculations, engineering economics and also calculations related to project management.
You should also focus on specifics related to your course of study in case we are made to answer one or two questions in our individual course of study.
Good luck 2mao.
Does anyone have a spare calculator?

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
