I doubt that yet. As stated in the invite posted, they will not be refunding transportation costs for this stage. I have a feeling they have/will invite quite a number of people. I doubt UK or other foreign guys will be asked to come write in Lagos so the invites for that category "may" come in later.

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
Hope this helps, since nobody is saying anything on helping those invited. It was culled from Exxon's website....
Skill Test
A skill test is usually administered for those who are advanced past the aptitude test; especially for Medical, Engineering, Geoscience, Computer Applications, Accounting and other Technical positions. This stage assesses the technical knowledge of candidates in their area of expertise. This test is administered by our Technical Training Unit, the hiring department, or an authorized external consultant. In each case, HR coordinates and supervises the testing. Only candidates who meet the pre-determined cut-off mark for the skill test are invited for an oral interview.

I don't think thats the case. Most people are probably still anxious and waiting to know if they called all the people they need. It's still early. You don't expect people that are still hoping to be called to start dishing out advice. By the time it's obvious they've made final selections, hints and ideas will surface. Wait till next week and people will start offering advice

I guess so too . . . but let's just say 'everything is possible'. I really was surprised that this thread has not added up to 6 pages following the invitation for skill test. Could it be the guys they invited have M.Sc, or that the test will be weekend after weekend (I doubt, since it will give those yet to write an advantage). What I think I know is that if your scores in the first and second tests are not very close (on the high side), then you're likely not getting invited. Don't even know whether the Canton Concourse is very large though.

any chemical engineer invited yet? Google Surface Production Operations vol 1&2, heard its a good text for chem skill test...goodluck 2d invited

Honestly I don't know about the abroad guys, but I choose to believe that there is a separate arrangement for them. Trust that D*r*k guy, his team is VERY organized (unless there is a new policy on local recruitment shaa).

nt my experience though bt a fellow who did d last skill test with mobil, dont b too consumed with undergraduate chemical topics, still read them though, also read abt pumps, compressors, safety etc, all in those texts which will make u excel in ur skill test, as they deal with chemical engineering application/importance in the oil and gas production....all the best!

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
@all Mech Engrs invited, congrats for rep'ing us wella,
Just a tip from d last skills test conducted.
D Mech test consisted of abt 45 obj questions to b ans'd in 60 mins.
Topics covered were mainly turbo-machinery, as such is tilted in favour of those who picked options in Automotive Engineering Technology and Air-condition and Ref'gn Engrg.
Turbo-machinery such as Compressors, Turbines, Pumps, pressured vessels, heat exchangers etc, as they relate to oil and gas processing, storage and transportation.
These definitely have a lot to do with, Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid mechanics and mechanics of machines where things as inclined planes and basic mechanics is invloved.
I hope this helps, I wish Ÿ̲̣̣̣̥ø̲̣̣̥u̶̲̥̅̊ all d best, I will update as I recall.
@ those of us still waiting for our invitation for skills, keep d hope alive, either way it turns out may God settle us this year...cos ALL things, both being called and not being called are all working out for your good, my good and our good
All d best guys

Don't read too much into it. It simply means this is just another stage. You still have to pass through this stage to get to the interview. It's at the interview stage that i believe they will start considering refunding transportation fare since they woulda trimmed down the number of applicants.

This is what I saw in my invite. "We refer to your application for the Engineering vacancies in our organization, and hereby invite you to participate in our Skill Test, which forms part of our placement process. Please see details below: ..." I will simply like to say that the Dragnet Aptitude test was also "part of ExxonMobil's placement process." So really, let's just keep our fingers crossed, give it our best shot, and let the process take its course.

I wonder too. They might want to make dis recruitment a humble one, or they still have letters to send out, (I hope mine would be part of doz). But nevertheless, congrats to all who got the I.V. Make the best of it.
I dont know if itz just me but most of the pips i know who were left out of the chevron skills feast, were invited for this one.
@all writing mobil, read o... No-one really knows what they will bring out but, this is what you've been waiting for a LONG TYM......Make the best of it. Cheers and Success.

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
Lol @ the "reasoning". I was invited for the Chevron Pet Engr & Facilities Engr skills test (though I couldnt make the former), and also got invited for the Mobil Skills Test. But I agree with most people, it seems like only a few of us were invited or are people lurking?

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
Hello everybody, I just registered here so that I can say my bit.
I'm thankful to God that I was also invited for the Exxon Mobil's skill test. My undergrad was in Elect./Elect so what I have may only help people from that discipline.
Fellow Engineers, we should stop asking for the test questions and do some studying. That's the way forward. If you schooled in Nigeria like me, and you want to be honest you'll know that our level of engineering education here is generally below the standards that Mobil wants.
I want to share an e-book titled "Handbook of Electrical Engineering: For Practitioners in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry" which you can use to revise or study before the skills test. I searched online for it, and the link is below.
I personally don't know if I will have enough time to study the book before Saturday cos of my current job. But if you have time, don't be lazy! Study!! And stop asking for sample questions.

"Handbook of Electrical Engineering: For Practitioners in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry"
God help us all

Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
Overview of the book:
Quote:
The book includes summaries of the necessary theories behind the design of systems together with practical guidance on selecting most types of electrical equipment and systems that are normally encountered with offshore production platforms, drilling rigs, onshore gas plants, pipelines, liquefied natural gas plants, pipeline pumping stations, refineries and chemical plants.
