If the former is the case, then you will be treated as if you wanted to work in their UK office. It is somehow.... So, pray that they ask you to do a phone interview or a skype interview for the last stage. Now, if they ask you to choose between doing the final assessment in Nigeria or in the UK, my brother, please tell them that they should fly you down to Nigeria for the assessment. Naijas assessment centres are not as tough as those of the UK..You can still fumble and po and fonu and show yourself with your foreign certificate and some polished english language skills in Naija. It can be very hard to impress in London.

    Goodluck.
Thank you very much for this helpful post. I really appreciate all the help you're giving me and all other forum members.
I'm going to wait and see what they decide to do and I'll let you guys in on what happens.

I'd like to add to the point that Ochers, Ighoeve, and Pamach mentioned. Going through all 26 pages in this forum + previous forums discussing the same topic in previous years, I have not seen anything related to the last stage of assessments!! It looks like everyone dissappear after the phone interview :S I may understand that the people who fail at the last stage could get mad and decide not to help others becz if they didn't take the position than no one else deserves it (although I'm totally against this mentality)... but what about the people who actually do get the offer?! I don't understand why they decided to keep the info for themselves!! The least you can do people is to give back to the people who have helped you reach this far! Don't become too arrogant and feel like you are better than the people that actually played a role in helping you reach this far.

As for me, you guys can make sure that I'll be back posting my final assessment experience from A to Z whether I get the offer or not just the way I did with my phone interview. I passed my phone interview around a week ago so I expect the final assessment to take place around mid December (nothing certain, just my expectations).

    Wishing you all good luck.

My source was generally trying to be clandestine with d main, d main. I agree that the info I am about to give lacks depth, but I will post it anyway. Hope the house can just manage it.

Likely events to take place at the AC.

Another test--at least one of numerical, verbal, or inductive(logical) reasoning test

    Interviews--
About the strategy of the bank, emerging markets and particularly the bank's strategy on emerging markets and key expansion to other frontier markets. Why WB or Transaction or Financial Markets or ...

    Presentation---
Generally sharpen your skills here; a great way to do this is to already have your strategic chronology. I want to present, I will do so by, blah blah blah..I am sure you grab

    Case Study--
Presentation skills will most definitely help here.

Finally, don't forget to memorize or vigorously practice competency based questions and answers. You will still be asked. Also, read up anything and everything that concerns the financial markets and risks.

Be too much aware of the role you have applied for and all the departments within the bank.

Tanx for d info, but d guy did not ans d question about how many they re looking to hire. I tink dat would have also been useful. It reminds of Unilever dat received 64k applications for their graduate trainee program n would only need less than 54 ppl.

my brother, thank you for noticing. I will specifically ask for that. i refer you to our previous converse. see the highlighted. if unilever could command 64k applications for a salary of less than 300k/month, what would we now say of standard chartered that offers a salary greater than 30k/month? remember the subsaharan hr told me that they received a record number of applications from naija alone. i guess she meant to say they received 250k applications. don't wonder, this is very possible.

but what i know is that they will take whom they will take, whether 1 milla people applied or not.

    regards,
    ighoeve.

Has anyone noticed on their website that applications from nija are no longer being accepted despite the fact that the app deadline in still far away?

They don't wait until the end before they pick their people, usually in January.
