We are currently recruiting fill the vacant position of Front Office Manager.

Job Title: Front Office Manager

Location: Lagos

Basic Duties:-

  • Establishes the planning of work periods and vacations of the Front Office staff, to ensure the daily operation, and attends to all employee requests/enquires.
  • Assist the customers in their daily needs and resolve eventual problems that they could encounter during their stay.
  • Assist the General Manager on the day – to – day operation and smooth running of the Residence.
  • Select new Rooms Division employees who meet or exceed the position specifications
  • Establishes the daily, weekly and monthly forecast, as well as the statistics needed for the promotional sales operations. (Company’s room nights, nationality reports, no shows, etc…)
  • Controls and take corrective measures to guarantee the good application of credit policies.
  • Should be responsible for the co-ordination of the different computer systems, Opera, telephone, Vin-cards and also maintenance of all equipment in the Department
  • Assist and liaise with all Departmental Heads on reports and control
  • Should be responsible for the recruitment, selection, induction, training, development, discipline, motivation and appraisal for all staff in the department
  • Does Duty Management functions


  • Co – ordinates the different activities of the Room’s Division and supervises the Reservations, Front Office Supervisor, Shift Leaders, Concierge, Business Centre, Guest Services Manager and the Night Manager in the daily operations to guarantee that customer’s satisfaction is met; assuming total responsibility of the Department.
  • Maintain the Residence’s products and quality service as specified in the company’s standards and operational procedures.
  • Prepares the Departmental budget in liaison with the Unit Accountant and Sales Manager and ensure control procedures/company accounting policies are adhered to.
  • Maintain constant contact with the Residence guests to resolve problems that could occur.
  • Yield Management and up selling.
  • Financial reporting on department/Residence performance
  • Conduct interviews for new Front Office employees who need or exceed the position specifications.

Reporting
The successful candidate will report to our General Manager.

Minimum Qualification:

  • At least BSc/BA in any discipline but most preferably in Management/Social Sciences
  • Required Experience : 2 -5 years from reputable hotels.
