People in da house. I need ur help to help me make a decision. I have been offered jobs in FIRS and Flour Mills but I don't know which would be better to start a promising career. Ur suffestions would be very helpful.
sorry....I meant to type "ur suggestions would be very helpful"
I will advice you to take FIRS because of the security of the job not minding the pay but that of flour mills is not secured, you can be laid off at any time despite the fact that the pay is higher.
secondly, their is other benefit you can get at FIRS after your service year or retirement compare to flour mill.
For explanation you can reach me on my e-mail address.
Goodluck.
I did FIRS interview too and would like to know when you did yours, the position you applied for and when they offered you employment.
I think you should choose FIRS, however it's important you ask the one that knows what is best for you.
guy congrats, just go 4 firs.that is where ur job security is guranteed.once again,CONGRAT
Go for flour mills.Life is about planning.@flour mills u have an opportunity of moving up career wise
congrate guy, i also for this type of favour from God.
pls your decision will base on what you like to do about your career, am directing my point to the position offer to you from the two organisation, both organisation pay well but there is more job security from FIRS. once again congratulation and goodluck
Congrat, GO TO FLOUR MILLS, that will give you a good career start, you'l likely under utilize your potential in the public sector and your promotion is stereotyped you must follow a course and there are no such things as promotions or rewards based on brilliance and exceptiional innovations. The private sector can make you a manager in an unimaginable less time. Think and pray
take both. just kidding......... pray over it, God knows the best 4 u.
My Dear you need wisdom to choose wisely. i was in your shoes two years ago. I had the opportunity to choose between being a Graduate Assistant and Being a Banker. My parents told me to choose the former as it has job Security and that i will grow gradually. Even God told me to listen to my father as he spoke to me through Proverb 23.
Being the young person i was as at then, i choose banking because of the money, irrespective of my parents advise.
Today i am jobless because the downsizing issue in the banking sector affected me.
i Hope my story gives you the advise you need
Choose Wisely.
@jayman Gdo knows the best. In the past 2 years, every1 wants 2 be a banker just bcos of the arm-robber salary paid 2 thier staffs. Choosing bank as profession then does not mean u choose wrong but 4 God words 2 prevail. Next time follow ur parents advice cos after God, our parents follow. @umemployed0147, pls 4 God sake go 4 FIRS. Once again, 4 ur Parents & other dependants sake go 4 FIRS. U will come 4 good testimony soon in the house. Best of luck.......
Thank you for your contributions. Every comment has been very helpful.
Congrat, my guy, all that glitters is not Gold. Build your career steadily. I was once in your shoe, two years ago, I had a choice to be a Manager in my place of work where I was working b/4 my completion of my NYSC and a Banking Job, even, my boss beg me not to go and even gave me an official car, but bcos of the armed robbery salary and the fact that I see most bankers in suit, pushed me into becoming a banker, as I speak with you, I am out of job, even though another one is on the pipeline, I am still on the look out for another job in another sector, in other to leave the banking sector.
So please, pray and go to your Pastor, for more spiritual advises. More so, my prayer for you is that where the presence of God will not be you will not go there.
WHEN DID FIRS OFFER YOU APPOINTMENT LETTER....DONT THINK WE ARE FOOLS HERE..GETOUT JOOOOOOOOOO
this is a very intereting and complicated issue. We really need to advise you, but we need to know how much is the gross pay for each of the offer and other condition of service. Its only people who have worked in the two organizations that can really give you a professional advise. However, i'll advice you go for FIRS.
''''
GOD WILL C U THRU.SEEK FOR HIS DIRECTION,HE'LL SURELY SHOW U D RIT PART TO GO.EASY O!
Choosing a choice depends on what you want, what ur potentials are and ur mission and vission towards ur career. With my little exposure, working in private organization expose one to challenges, prepare u for it and make u more creative depending on individual ability.
It make u to be more focus because u are always on target but it is also a risk employed means as u can be lay off any time, but u also can sack them them through ur experience and exposure before u are laid off. Public sector is a relaxed environment with little or even no much challenges, but a secured job. It now depend on ur target, do u just need a job that fetch u a salary and gratuity or u wantr to discover urself ponder over it before u choose. i submit my own advise here.

Ask God, you dont know the future except God, and follow ur mind and more experienced people's advice. Congrats!!!!!
I work in the public sector but i m fighting to leave because of the poor take home and fraudulent activities. Those who make it in the public sector are those who have stayed 20to 30 yrs on the job and if you are opportune to be in good office where things happen. Otherwise you will regret being in the public sector. My advice is that take the one with the best pay and career opportunity, dont be afraid, no man is wise at all only God.
FIRS assures u job security humanly speaking Consult ur Maker
u dont nee a fortune teller to go 4 FIRS . My dad worked in flour mills and I will not advise anyone go there if u ve an alternative. The benefits 4rm Firs cant be compared to flour mills. I am happy 4 u and God gives u s grace to succeed anywhere u go to as we continue waiting on God 4 our own blessing
My guy, don't go for either, just forward your appointment letter to me and wait for nnpc own their will soon recruit and the renumeration and the benefits is more higher.
I srongly advice you look inward, define yourself, and choose the one that best suits your person, career path without looking at the money involved. If you go the right way, money will always follow you. so, who are you and what do you really want to become? Congratulatoins Dear.Quote:

Congratulations. I think you should apply wisdom here. Make proper inquiry from people working in both organization. Don't make a hasty conclusion. May God guide u as u do this. I am happy for you. Cheer!

I need flour mill web site

@ retired corper wots ur own issue?? @ poster, ild advice firs...d job security,n good value 4 ur time..u culd do other tins conveniently alongside ur job..mayb business,ur masters n all dat...learn 4rm d bankers who told their stories here...getting a secured job is d best.all dat glitters is not gold, but most importantly seek d face of God,He knows d best 4 us,afterall not everyone was sacked 4rm d banking sector....all da best
Dear Unemployed, its not just about the money, you need to ask yourself what you want, is it job security or a fulfilling and challenging job. i personally dont like jobs in the Public sector in Nigeria,.
I left a job in one of the federal universities to take up employment in a consulting firm, which was more demanding intellectually and relatively paid less at the time, looking back now i know i made the right decision cuz everyday i spend on this job adds value to me.
The best security you can have is the knoledge you have. Even the govrnment can downsize. But if you have something that adds value there'l always be someone ready to pay good price for it.
Congrats!!!
if ur desire is security then firs, if pay flour mail. in all allow God to direct u .wishing u all the best
