The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Vacancies has the following vacancies:

Regional Airworthiness Inspector (only candidatures from BAG member states; Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. University degree in aeronautical engineering or diploma in aeronautical engineering with
aircraft maintenance engineering license, or equivalent recognized professional qualification preferably on maintenance of large modern aircraft.

2. Experience at a senior supervisory level of governmental regulatory practices in airworthiness
administration, certification, inspection, overhaul and repair, implementation of acceptable means of compliance.

3. Practical working experience in an airline or approved maintenance organization following governmental procedures relating to the inspection and approval of such organizations.

4. Experience in the preparation, approval and use of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and other appropriate aircraft engineering documentation.

5. Sound knowledge of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices and related documentation.

6. Command of the English language and proven ability in preparing inspection reports and similar documents. Knowledge of French and / or Portuguese would be an asset.

7. Proficient in technical writing.

8. Initiative, tact, sound judgment and ability to maintain harmonious relationships.

SALARY LEVEL: Special Services Agreement (SSA) Contract for US $ 4,670 per month plus 20 percent allowance if the expert is not from Abuja, plus child allowance of US $ 40 per month up to a
maximum of two Children plus travel for expert only.


REGIONAL AERODROME SAFETY AND CERTIFICATION INSPECTOR (Only candidatures from BAG member states; Cape Verde, Gambia Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. University degree preferably in civil engineering, or aerodrome engineering or diploma in
aeronautical engineering.
2. A minimum of ten years in civil aviation, preferably in the planning/ airport operation. Air
traffic control experience will also be acceptable if qualified to perform aerodrome inspections.
3. Experience in preparing, approving and using Aerodrome manuals and related documents.
4. Five years experience as Civil Aviation Inspector in Aerodrome Certificate
5. Experience in implementing State procedures relating to aerodrome inspection and
certification.
6. Sound knowledge of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices. (Annex 14 and related documents )
7. Proficiency in technical writing.
8. Command of the English language and proven ability in preparing inspection reports and similar
documents. Knowledge of French and Portuguese would be an asset.
9. Initiative, tact, sound judgment and ability to maintain harmonious relationships.

Salary level: Annual Salary approximately US $ 60,000 all inclusive plus travel time for expert
only. If the expert is not from Nigeria, he will be entitled to Foreign Allowance of 20 percent
of net Salary.
