the salary structture is worth knowing. it is also important we remember that people who are employed even as beginners with same level have salaries that divers with little difference based on department, job responsibilies and overtime.

I think the question is legit. Besides, some of us are pretending that we dont ask our friends, relatives, and acquaintances the pay for a position in an organisation we are interested in. Besides, it will help yiou negotiate better and may be in line with ur goals. AND you need other information as well e.g. working conditions, appraisal, pay after deducting tax, work hours etc the salary IS important.
