Our Client, a leading provider of housing solutions for the vibrant Nigerian market is looking to recruit a Divisional Director for their Financial Services division. The position will be based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Role Objectives
The job-owner will be responsible for owning & managing the organization’s financial strategy and ensuring it effectively supports the achievement of immediate, short and long-term plans; The Job owner will be responsible for effectively leveraging all the company’s assets & resources to maximize its ability to meet defined project objectives.

Financial Responsibilities


Development of finance and operational processes designed to drive profitability, manage growth, create and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial requirements.
Review, analyze and interpret financial and budgetary reports, as well as direct the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual/long-term business plans.
Direct the organization’s financial goals, objectives and budgets.
Oversee fund investment and manage associated risks; supervise cash management activities and execute capital-raising strategies to support a firm’s expansion.
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to accounting, fiscal reporting, debt management, investments, risk management and supply chain management.
Responsible for the preparation of the monthly and annual financial reports.
Co-ordinate debt management and debt recovery activities
Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts
Develop, manage and coordinate the implementation of project financing documentation and procedures.
Manage the financial evaluation of all new/proposed projects and evolve financial models for each one.
Conduct quarterly risk and profitability assessments on all ongoing and new projects and proffer corrective measures where deficiencies are found to exist
Identify sources for medium to long term funding required for all projects and coordinate all initiatives designed to negotiate / secure the best funding terms and conditions

Strategy

Support the implementation of the company’s strategy by formulating effective financial & cost management structures in conjunction with divisional heads & the CEO.
Support the implementation and / or updating of the organization’s strategic plan in a way that advances the company's mission and objectives and promotes revenue enhancement and company profitability.
Participate in top-level decision making and oversight of business activities.
Assisting the CEO to ensure that strong strategic and annual planning processes are implemented in a way that produces effective plans.
Ensuring that all financial and non financial reporting requirements are met on a timely and regular basis.

Key Performance Indicators:

Comprehensive review & update of all financial accounts for the period between 2005 – 2008 (45 Days Deliverable)
Creation of an effective budgeting process & implementation of the process with effect from December, 2009 (60 Days Deliverable)
Coordination & successful coordination of impending capital raise activities spanning August 2009 to March 2010 (180 Days Deliverable)
Creation of effective processes for managing / leveraging all company assets (90 Days Deliverable)
Successful evolution of competitive mortgage processes for the company (120 Days Deliverable)
Successful securitization and / or discounting of the company’s existing receivables from homeowners (90 Days Deliverable)

Educational Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum of university degree in Economics, Accounting or other Finance course
Possession of ACCA, CFA or any other international Finance certification
Minimum of 6 - 8 years working experience, with the past experience covering any or all of the following –Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Investment banking or Loan Syndications

Indicative Remuneration Package

Annual Gross Pay – US$ 85, 000.00 per annum

Other Cash Benefits

US$ 5,000 relocation allowance upon resumption.
Leave allowance – US$11,500.00 per annum
Anniversary Grant – US$ 17.000.00 per annum
