Vacancies for Challenging Work in a Civil Society Organisation – Government Programme

The State Accountability and Voice Initiative (SAVI) in Nigeria is a new programme, financed by the Department of International Development (DFID). SAVI will work with civil society, State Houses of Assembly and the media to promote democratic participation and government accountability. SAVI works in close partnership with other DFID programmes that focus on enhancing government systems, health and education (SPARC, PATHS2 and ESPINN). Initially SAVI will have offices in Lagos, Kaduna, Enugu and Kano (office covering Jigawa and Kano) as well as a Head Office in Abuja.

The Programme is looking to recruit the following staff :

State Programme Managers x 2 (based in Kano and Enugu)

Programme Finance Manager (based in Abuja)

State Programme Officers x 4 (based in Lagos , Enugu , Kano/Jigawa, Kaduna )

Office Managers x 5 (based in Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Enugu, Lagos)

Financial Assistants x 5 (based in Abuja , Kano , Kaduna , Enugu , Lagos )

Monitoring, Learning & Communications Officer (based in Abuja)

Office Clerks x 5 (based in Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Enugu, Lagos)

Drivers (based in Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Enugu, Lagos)

Conditions for all Positions

The terms and conditions of employment will be commensurate with the levels of responsibility and experience. All contracts will be 12 months in duration, with an initial 3 month probationary phase, and will have the possibility of renewal on an annual basis thereafter.
