I WANT TO SAY A VERY BIG CONGRAT TO ALL IN THE HOUSE WHO MADE IT IN THE LAST CONCLUDED 2009/10 PTDF OVERSEA SCHOLARSHIP FOR MSC & PHD TEST ON JANUARY 31ST 2009.

MAY THE LORD WHO HAS DONE IT FOR EVERYONE OF YOU (INCLUDING MYSELF) DO SAME FOR ALL WHO ARE GEARING UP FOR NEXT YEAR.

I MUST CONFERS HERE THAT IT WAS REALLY THE INTERVENTION OF GOD THAT SAW ME THROUGH.

I DID NOT EVEN FINISH MUCH OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED, COUPLED WITH THE FACT THAT IN THIS COUNTRY SO MANY THINGS ARE DONE AT THE LEVEL OF "MAN-NO-MAN".

SINCE I KNEW NO SENATOR, MINISTER, ETC, BUT GOD. I TRUSTED IN HIM AND AS IT PLEASED HIM, MY NAME WAS SHORTLISTED. SO MANY ARE MAKING IT, WITHOUT HUMAN'S HELP!

the info concerning people who applied 4 process engrg being given Imperial college, was it that of last year (2008/2009) or the current one (2009/10).

Please can you guys explain how you got to know the course you were given. Remember when we filled the form, we were required to put in for three courses. That is, 1st, 2nd & 3rd choice. The course you were given, is it your 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice?

The guys that were asked to apply online to Imperial College, pls can you through more light on how there were contacted. Was it after the test or before? Through SMS or email.

As per contacting anybody, one guy i know who equally made it told me that no body has been contacted yet. But if anyone has contrary info, we would appreciate hearing from you.

The next scholarship form will be out by October this year. you need to get yourself prepared.

please does anybody know what usually follow PTDF scholars after the MSc/PhD programme? From previous scholars.
Is it mandatory, they must come back to Naija? Any that secured jod in UK? What does PTDF do for their Scholars?

good day all. please i'd like to know where the imperial list was gotten from and if tyhe courses given to you by ptdf is final. this is becos i was given scholarship on applied instrumentation and control engineering, which was my first choice. but to my suprise, i was contacted by dundee university thaat i had been given conditional admission in energy studies my third choice when i filled the form. id also like to know if there are other instrumentation engineers in the house snd if they have been contacted by any school in the uk , especially dundee university. as a matter of fact, without mincing words, i am not too happy cos the course module talks about the economic evaluation of energy to a nation rather the engineering aspect of energy solutions. so house please i will be glad if you can get to answer my questions. thanks and one love.

Hello fellows in the house. I am so happy for the beneficiaries of the last PTDF scholarship award . I am happy to see the name of one of the guru's of geology dept of FUTO in the Petroleum Geosciences, Imperial selection. Thank God for u guys. Also pray for us waiting for this year's program. Hey Guys.....Congrats to all that made the PTDF OSS.....to those who didn't make it, just keep moving cos u ar just that next step away from ur dreams.
well the UNIVATION in RGU runs the PTDF OSS in the UK on behalf of PTDF NAIJA.
They are currently in the process of securing admissions for those who didn't have any hitherto.
These admissions may be in any university in the UK.......and may be for courses that are slightly different from ur original application.........This is because the PTDF NAIJA decides the courses for awardees who do not have any offer before writing the test.
I also think that they have started securing acceptances for candidates who had admission offers.
PTDF does not accept any change of course........and for such you must go for the course they have secured for you.
There's going to be an induction programm at Abuja once the admission process issue is concluded.

Hey! Congrats to all the new PTDF OSS Scholars. I thank God Almighty for your victory. I am a current PTDF OSS (MSc) scholar in England. The next step is an induction programme that will come up first week in August. You don't have to bother yourselves about anything. PTDF is going to handle everything excellently. For now, the best thing you can do is to study your course modules (if you already have them), then try to brush through areas you seem to have forgotten. The one year is not always enough to begin from the basics again. The earlier you settle with your studies the better for you. The educational system over here is very different from ours. It is highly IT based and more industry relevant. If you are not computer literate, make sure you start helping yourselves by learning basic use of the computer, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). MATLAB would be helpful if you already have the basic knowledge. Most times, asessments are done based on assignments than exams (depends on the institution). One thing is certain, CRAMMING doesnt work over here o. PTDF wouldnt bond you. It is your choice to stay back in the UK or return to your Fatherland Nigeria at the end of your studies. I pray you return, because it is the better choice. Our God blessed country (Nigeria) is far better than the Western countries. I wish you all the very best. Congrats to you all once again! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, advice and views with us, it is highly appreciated. Most of the scholars have not yet been contacted by either PTDF or the school so we don't really know our course module to even brush up on our basics.

I wish you success in your study and the best in life, since you have acknowledge God as your Helper, He will successfully take you to the end of the programme.

Coming October his year, the forms will be out but you guys need to have all your credentials ready and hurry up to get the forms because it is usually in limited quantity.

Above all, study hard and put God first, you will make it.
