It is important that when going for an interview, you must dress to be presentable, in line with the type of job you are applying for. Your dressing is an important factor of the first impression on your potential employer.

It is true that the taste of the pudding is in the eating. This is never truer than when you are being interviewed for a job. This is the time when your true worth will come to light. A proper business attire is the choice when being interviewed for a professional job. A person applying for a job as a secretary or an executive needs to dress up.

For men, it must be a full suit, a button down shirt, a tie and dress shoes. The women have many options which could make the choice more difficult. Basically, a women’s pants suit, a shirt suit, dress slacks with blouse or a nice skirt with sweater are all excellent choices. The idea is that you keep it simple but not necessary all black.

However, an applicant for a job as a glocery clerk or little league coach will not require a formal suit, but give a professional appearance to show your potential employer you are serious about the job.
For men, dark dress slacks or khakis with a button down shirt but no tie will do. For women, skip the suit and wear dress slacks or flowing skirt with a knit top, button down shirt or sweater. Such dresses are called “business casuals”
