Job Position: Grants and subcontracts fund (GSF) officer
Job description:
  • assist the GSF in the process of oversight and management of procedures according to chemonics and USAID riles and regulations
  • coordinate with the GSF manager to establish financial accounting and administrative procedures for control of funds and expenditure
  • perform pre-award assessments to determine applicant management and technical capacity
  • receive grant repots, check to ensure that reporting template was correctly used , forward to technical team for review
  • process deliverables and prepare check request for payment
  • ensure effective communication between project staff, subcontractors and grant awardees such that grant recipients are provided with suitable technical advice
  • monitor compliance of all agreements governing the award of subcontracts and grants and prepare reports to the GSF Manager
  • ensure the highest level of honesty, integrity, openness in administering grant award process and procedures
  • maintain subcontracts and grants documentation so that all files are current, complete and easily accessible
  • report and concerns or issues whether verified or not to senior management through supervisor
  • perform additional duties as assign by the supervisor

Qualification:
  • Bs.c degree or its equivalent in social science ecnomics accounting/finance business administration
  • experience with working with USAID is an advantage
  • excellent writing and editing skills
  • good data management skills
  • knowledge of USAID regulations, subcontract procedure and good administrative skills
  • ability to work independently and as a part of the team
  • demonstrate leadership versatility and integrity
