Topic: DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL?

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO USE FTP(FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL) TO TRANSFER VIDEO FILES BUT ITS SO SLOW.A 27 MINUTE FILE I HAD TOOK ALMOST 12 HOURS TO TRANSFER.ANYONE HAVE ANY BRIGHT IDEAS OF HOW I CAN MAKE MY FTP WORK FASTER OR EVEN AN ALTERNATIVE TO FTP?

What format is the video?
The format also determines size. So experiment with different formats and see their compression levels. That way you can know which to use.
You did not say if you were transfering to a video sharing site or to your own or client website.
If the latter you could try zipping up the file.
