How to Prepare for Job Interview

    1. Research the company you are applying for
If you haven't already done so, research the company you are applying for. Understand their history, learn about the people who are on their board of directors, if they have one, check out their stock price. Understand who their consumers are and try to comprehend their value statement and incorporate that into your knowledge base. This will help with your job interview questions as employers usually ask what your understanding of their company is. The more you show you have studied their company and services, the better an impression you will make.

    2. Review your resume
Read up on your resume. Remind yourself of all the positive accomplishments you have accrued that have helped the bottom line of your present and / or past companies. Employers will ask about your work history, practice how you might respond. They will ask why you are looking. Practice the most positive response you can find. Being negative can and will backfire on you, also, don't dwell too much on why you are leaving your current company or why you are looking. Focus on your positive attributes, why you are interested in this company and what would make you a good fit as well as a valuable asset to them. Practice in front of a mirror, with friends or a career coach if you have one. All these methods will help prepare you for your job interview questions.

    3. Question your interviewer
Engage your interviewer. How do you do this? Well, the interviewer is set up actually to try to listen to your responses about 80% of the time. This is your opportunity to shine and showcase your skills. How you engage them is, when they ask you a question, give your best answer and then ask them a question that relates to what you have been asked. They may ask you to describe how you have handled a difficult task in your present or past job. You then answer that and ask them how their company goes about handling difficult situations such as the one you described. This shows the employer your interest in the company as well as your ability to engage in intelligent forethought, which again helps with your job interview questions.
I am the apple of God's eye.
