ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the Coordinator, the successful candidate is expected to assist in fulfilling the vision, mission, objectives and goals of the Foundation by ensuring that there is seamless interaction between all the arms of the NGO and there is optimal capacity utilization of all the available Human Resources.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensuring by deploying the relevant secretariat and volunteer staff, that there is seamless interaction between all the arms of the NGO and optimal capacity utilization of all the available human resources.
· Managerial oversight of all the operations of the NGO and its summits/ outreaches by directly supervising the functioning, achievement of key performance indicators & targets & regulatory compliance of :
a) The Secretariat and its functions
b) The Outreaches Team
c) The Centre Faculty (through its Dean)
d)The Foundations’ Club through its President
· Providing support in terms of information, media and public relations and administrative support to each of the arms including paid staff and volunteers.
· Identifying and recruiting personnel to fill the vacant roles in the structure from a pool of volunteers where appropriate or paid staff.
· Media and Public Relations-positioning, managing and promoting the NGO and its brand for optimal exposure with the aim of attracting reputable international and local partners and collaborators as well as attracting sustainable international and local funding to meet the annual budget for the NGO primarily and the summits secondarily.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
· B.Sc. or HND from a reputable higher institution
· Membership of a professional body is an advantage
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 3 years ‘hands on’ experience in any non-profit organization in a supervisory capacity.


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· An understanding of Non-profit organizations.
· Proven ability of marketing and obtaining event sponsorship
· Excellent negotiation skills
· A knowledge of account planning, and budgeting a plus
· Computer proficiency a given


BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Strong leadership and team building skills
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and lead teams
· Excellent command of the English language - spoken and written
