I attended an interview recently where i was asked if i had any questions for them,i had done my assignment well about the firm so cldn't find any qs to ask.i told them i had learnt a lot about the firm so didnt av any Qs,nothing was said bt i guess they looked disappointed.so am asking is it compulsory to ask qs @an interview.isn't it just beta 2 shut up instead of asking sth unreasonable?

Ofcourse the answer to this quetion depends on the Industry you are looking up to, if you truly Smokes and you are eying the entertaintment industry for a job (especially movie acting) your answer I quess should be YES! becuse that might be the only hudle to jump. If it is the Corperate sector, please try not to make any mistake of saying yes because it might cost you your chance.
And I know majority of the Engineers are good somkers and they on some occassion may ask such questions, read their lips well before you answer this question.
Good Luck!

Re: Share & Learn about Interview experiences!
@bimlove, it is good to ask questions, u can just ask them anything about the company e.g what is the vision or mission of the company, how many states do have branches, just ask a question. like an interview that i attended sometime ago, i asked why the bank does not have TV commercials like other banks do and they smiled and replied that their products speak for them and that they have Radio jingles, they were pleased with the question.

Re: Share & Learn about Interview experiences!
Q: Why do you want to leave your present employer?
The first thing you have to bear in mind is not to bad-mouth your current manager or employer - even if the reason you want to leave is because the manager is an asshole!
"I have been in my present job for 2 years (whatever years) and I am now looking for fresh/new/challenges to broaden my skills and develop my career.
Q: How much do you expect us to pay you?
It is vitally important for job seekers to research the company inviting them for job interviews before attending 'If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail'
Whatever your answer you can be sure the company will not break its payment or salary structure for a new intake!
You should know the salary range for the industry 'Banking', 'oil/petroleum' etc.
"I expect to be paid within the existing salary structure for new starters"
If you know the starting salary to be 150,000 naira a month - tell them you expected to be paid 150,000 a month.
If you are already earning 165,000 naira a month in your present job no one should expect you to earn less so if the salary range for the new job is 150k-to 200k. tell them your current salary is 165,000 (within their range of 150-200k) and because of your previous experience you would expect to be started at 165,000, assuming you are in a position to negotiate a starting salary - You dont want to be greedy!

MY INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
I WENT 4 AN ITAVIEW ABD I WAS ASK........HOW MUCH DO U MAKE 4 UR COMPANY PA MONT.I SAID 700K.AND I WAS ASKED..HOW MUCH WILL U MAKE 4 US.I SAID 300 TO 400K D COMPANY IS A COURIER FIRM IN ABA ABIA STATE. HOUSE WHAT SUD B MY FAITH?.IS MY ANS CORRECT AS I VENOT HEARDFROM THEM.?
-
Re: MY INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
Hi NORAHOBI,
Those companies do not like that kind truth. In case of next time, since u making 700k for ur current company, then tell d interviewers dt u wil produce more than the present amount.
Meanwhile, dont just pre-empt dt u ve said wrong answer. If it is ur job, they will call you.
Be hopeful,
Surely, we shall make it......
