I will like to bring to the attention of this honorable house a matter that constitutes a threat and risk to the health of my fellow job-seekers and young Nigerian. Inspite of the glamour and style that is weaved around the so-called energy drinks, I want us to take note of the fact that these drinks pose a serious threat to our health while giving us a false sense of invigouration.
As recent as today, six German states have placed a ban on the retailing of Red Bull because it is discovered to contain traces of cocaine. Pls view link (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30929880...storyContinued). House, if this drinks are as glamourous and stylish as they are portrayed, why would their recall and ban be ordered? While we have to drink responsibly, we must not drink what we dont have to drink. This advice applies to all such so called energy drink.
Nigeria is gradually becoming a dumping ground for such items as the so called energy drinks.
The irony of it all is that people take these drinks in the guise that it is "In Vogue".
I just hope we all get an orientation about the danger we might face from consuming these so called Energy Drinks.
