I had similiar question in my last interview and what they are looking for is your attitude.

1. If you are employed, depending on the terms on your appointment letter, u are suppose to give atleast two weeks notice or forfeit your basic salary. ( This is what they are looking for if you are currently employed).

i.e = forfeit your basic salary or = give two weeks notice to make proper handing over.

The best answer is to give atleast two weeks notice, to enable you hand over, and the company get someone to take your place if need be.

If you consider this in your answer you will leave a good impression of a thoughtful person to your interviewer.

I think you answered well brother, just keep calm.

You answered well. It will not prevent you from geting the job. Showing them that you are desperate over their job has negative effect. I was given one month when i got my own.
