Our unique Graduate Bootcamp training programme runs over 5 weeks and is designed to provide graduates with the skills required to achieve the industry recognised qualification of Symbian OS Developers. You’ll receive an excellent overview of the organisation and gain a greater understanding of how your particular skills can benefit the company. Bootcamp also gives you the opportunity to build friendships and working relationships with fellow graduates which will last throughout your career.

Entry Requirements


A minimum of a 2:1 BSc degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience e.g. Software, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics etc. Knowledge of C/C++ would be a distinct advantage.

Also vital for all graduate opportunities are:
- a logical approach to problem solving
- an analytical mind
- a strong customer focus
- an ability and the desire to work as part of a team
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- an ability to display initiative.

Selection Process – Assessment Days
Candidates are invited to send their CV’s to [email protected] together with the completed on-line Application Form which is attached below.

Applications must be received by 31st January 2008, where your CV will go through our initial selection process. If at this stage you are successful, you will be invited to attend one of our 6 Assessment Days to be held in our London based Head Office on 12/13/14 January 2009 and 11/12/13 February 2009.

Assessment Days will be based on defined competencies to give us the opportunity to rate each candidate's ability. Competencies are the skills, knowledge and characteristics we consider key to your successful performance within Symbian. The events will offer an opportunity to listen to presentations given by key members of Symbian staff, giving a greater insight into the Company and its benefits as well as handling the variety of technologies which you could be developing.

Attendees will participate in a variety of selection techniques, ranging from aptitude tests involving the use of C, C++ or Java, and psychometric tests to evaluate ability in areas such as reasoning and problem solving. Individual interviews will also be held.

Start Date and Initial Induction Process
The Bootcamp will commence on 6th July 2009 and will run for 5 weeks. The Bootcamp takes place in our London Head Office and will comprise of Symbian OS formal training and Practical exercises to reinforce the formal training which will be interspersed with breakout sessions where graduate engineers will be introduced to the Symbian culture, processes and organisation.

An optional Fresher C++ training programme will take place prior to each Bootcamp and will provide an opportunity for those who may be new to, or would like to refresh themselves in, the subject of object-oriented development using C++, before the beginning of the intensive Bootcamp training.

Throughout Bootcamp Graduates will receive an excellent overview of the organisation and gain a greater understanding of how their particular skills can benefit the company. Bootcamp gives Graduates the opportunity to build friendships and working relationships with fellow graduates which will last throughout their career.

On completion of Bootcamp training, graduates will be placed in specific project teams throughout the Company.
