    My friend, you should know that UNICEF and other UN organizations DO NOT request for money or any other form of financial gratification during their recruitment process.

    Another way to know the genuity of the claim is to check the domain name of the web or email address of your correspondence. That is, if it ends with unicef.org, un.org and so on. Otherwise, if s/he uses more common providers like yahoo, gmail, hotmail etc then beware.
