Oyo State Governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala

Obviously aware that the era of free meal was over at the Molete political empire, the hangers-on pleaded with the governor to consider them while compiling names for board appointments in the state.

The people, under the aegis of Adedibu-Akala Solidarity Loyalists, Molete Empire, at a news conference on Friday told the governor that they were entitled to appointments having worked for the election of the governor.

The Chairman of the group, Alhaji Bola Busari, and the Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kiyesi Akinade, said that some of them suffered and got wounded during electioneering campaigns.

Busari noted that as members of the Molete Empire who believed in the goal and aspiration of their late patriarch, they had the right to demand for board appointments.

He, however, promised that his group will continue to adopt peaceful means like consultations, discussions, observations and dialogue in seeking political offices and appointments for its members.

He said, “This is the dividends of democracy which we rightly deserve as individuals and group that had suffered during campaign and elections for the enthronement of this present administration as led by our indefatigable and God-fearing Governor Akala.

“There should be no communication gap between us and Governor Alao-Akala. We remembered vividly Baba Adedibu’s last words on earth instructing us to remain as one entity and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of this administration, hence Akala must not fail”. He stated.

He said the group would not constitute itself as a threat or as a parallel authority to the constitutional governments of the state, council or wards in the state.
