RAILWAY CORPORATION
Background
In furtherance to the Federal
Governments renewed vision for
the railway with investment in
Railway Rehabilitation and the
Modernisation Programme, the
Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) is
undergoing Reform so that it is able
to respond to the challenges of a
new and modern railway. As part
of the restructuring programme the
NRC has developed a new
organisational structure and now
wants to re-build and renew its
senior management team. A
number of high level senior
technical and management
vacancies have arisen which the
NRC now wants to fill.
The Candidates
The NRC is looking for dynamic and
talented professionals with integrity
and the highest ethics who will
advance the course of NRC as a
major player in the transportation
sector. These will be team players
with excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. They will
possess good technical knowledge
gained from several years
experience of working in direct or
transferable relevant industry
sectors and backed up by excellent
technical and professional
qualifications.

1. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
(ENGINEERING SERVICES) -
REF. NRC/ED-ES
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering
discipline with at least 20 years
cognate experience out of which 15
years must be in a senior
management position with proven
and demonstrable achievements of
leadership.
2. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
(OPERATIONS & PLANNING) -
REF. NRC/ED-OP
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in Economics,
Business studies or other relevant
discipline with at least 20 years
cognate experience out of which 15
years must be in a senior
management position with proven
and demonstrable achievements of
leadership.
3. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (ADMIN &
FINANCE) - REF.
NRC/ED-AF
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in a relevant
discipline or chartered accountant,
with at least 20 years cognate
experience out of which 15 years
must be in a senior management
position with proven and
demonstrable achievements of
leadership.
4. DIRECTOR OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
& NEW LINES
(GL17) - REF.NRC/D-CENL
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in Civil
Engineering with at least 20 years
cognate experience out of which 10
years must be in senior technical
and management position.
5. DIRECTOR OF MECHANICAL/
ELECTRICAL & SIGNALS/
TELECOMS (GL17)- REF.NRC/D-MEST
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in either
Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics
Engineering with at least 20 years
cognate experience out of which 10
years must be in senior technical
and management position.

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree with at least 20
years cognate experience out of
which 10 years must be in senior

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in Management
Sciences, Quantity Survey or
relevant degree with at least 15
years cognate experience out of
which 7 years must be in senior
managment position.
11. DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH,
HEALTH, SAFETY &
ENVIRONMENT (GL16) - REF.NRC/DD-

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in Engineering,
Sciences or Environmental Science
with at least 15 years cognate
experience out of which 7 years
must be in senior technical and
management position.

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or
Electronic Engineering with at least
12 years cognate experience out of
which 5 years must be in senior

Science or Information Technology
