English Language query Julie Duncan Sent: 07 June 2012 16:24 To: Samuel Ugim
Hi Samuel
I have been in touch with Kirstie in PG Admissions about the query you raised re English Language qualifications for Nigerian applicants.
She has advised that the policy keeps changing but currently if the applicant can provide evidence of having been taught and assessed in English then the Admissions team may be able to waive the language condition. The applicant would need to have completed their bachelor degree within two years of starting the course at Newcastle though. Admissions can accept a letter from the Nigerian university or a transcript which states they were taught and assessed in English.
Hope this is of some help but if you have any other queries please get in touch.
Julie

Hi Dynasty4u sorry 4 the delay was a bit busy yes as with regards accommodation for those of you wishing to stay very close to school i will advise you go for Leazes Terrace which has got all you need as a student and is withing walking distance of the department. Just go for medium En suite that will address your needs. cheers
