A PRESS STATEMENT BY CONCERNED NIGERIAN GRADUATES ON THE CONTINUED DELAY OF NNPC/DPR MANAGEMENT TO RELEASE APPOINTMENT LETTERS TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES AFTER MONTHS OF INTERVIEW AND DEHUMANISATION OF NIGERIAN GRADUATES
Please, I think the 'of' should better read 'by the'. Also, I feel it is better to expunge the latter as there doesn't seem to be a proper connect between the two joined phrases. Perhaps, it'd be better if it should read '...interview, hence the dehumanization... or leading to the dehumanization of the Nigerian Graduate' However, I feel it's better to remove the phrase entirely(i.e THE DEHUMANIZATION OF THE NIGERIAN GRADUATES)

CLARION CALL TO NNPC 2010 HOPEFULS ' IF WE FIGHT WE MAY WIN, IF WE DON'T WE HAVE LOST'
I have been following ds platform ‘hopefully’ for a long time, however this is my first time of contributing. Yes i av been an onlooker but i have neither been a coward because my antecedents in the university will readily negate that, neither am i a traitor since I av everything to gain by the successful completion of ds recruitment process. My passivity is due to everything that should not be wrong with a functioning nation that is wrong with our dear country. I was part of the batch that went for the final interview at Abuja in 2008. And having collected the transport allowance at the Tower, I was in a happy mood and waiting expectantly for appointment letter as my interview was without hitch and the atmosphere was amiable and promising. But all of that is now in the past, a hope dashed and most likely dashed forever.
I was lucky to be invited for the 2010 exercise, as i was almost past the required age. I could not prepare as my invitation came when I had almost given up on ever being invited again. I did my best and to God’s glory, I passed and was also invited again and all the rigmarole of 2008 was being repeated except of course the payment of the transportation allowance which really made this exercise worse so far so good.
Because of these and many more similar but worse stories of corruption and injustice engendered by nepotism, bribery, godfatherism and such evils, I have become so disenchanted with the Nigeria system to the point of being so cynical that I do wonder if anything good can ever come out of this country. This is the more reason why I have not been contributing to this forum thus far.
But I must salute the courage, dedication and faith of those that have been making this forum active. May God continue to renew your strength. You have been the veterans of audacious hope, in a little while we will all laugh at last. The recent renaissance of struggle is noteworthy. In my days in the university there was this maxim that always played true all the time; ‘If we fight we may win, but if we don’t we have lost’. It is interesting to note that we always won all of the time. Thus I say that this protest is a right thing in the right direction and at about the right time. I pray that it will yield our heart desires.
As much as I believe in this struggle, knowing the reactionary tendencies of Nigeria establishment, the protest will most likely be thwarted by their ineffectual-in-the-face-of-real-national-security-breach state force. As such I believe the struggle should be continued by sustained campaign in the front pages of national dailies. To this effect I believe we should all make financial contributions that will be directed towards the cause. I will be happy if JA, Kalokalo, Be-brief, and Debrown could liaise together and be in charge of this account and the disbursement of the fund. Also, a bank account in First Bank will be preferable because of the bank’s ubiquity.
Once again I salute your courage, believe and perseverance on this struggle. I especially want to appreciate the contributions of Be-brief, JA, Vin20, Kalokalo, Profsalvage, 4gkelvin, seunlove and others too numerous to mention. May our labour not been in vain. Thank you all and God bless.
Aluta continua, recte acerta.
Irrespective of what individual opinion, I believe since the house (DPR/NNPC hopefuls) have agreed to go on a protest, those who are on the fence, I urge you to join the cause. I would also like to bring a tiny-winy bit detail to our attention. We should remember that both NNPC and DPR are in this together, on the said day of the commencement of our nationwide protest, our leaders/speakers should not make the grave error of driving attention to only DPR, or NNPC hopefuls. At this point, we are united in our cause. There should be mutual respect and cooperation. I know this may seem like a petty detail but, on that day, a lot could go wrong in a split second---or right (hopefully). Lets rock onnnnn!!!!
All concerned interests should be covered. Someone said the madam minister lobbied so much for her present position. So, she shouldn't deprive us of our Bread!
No Harm.....All I need 4gkevin, is a clarification from JA on his employment status with NNPC because I recall him stating severally he works (even if temporarily) closely with the NNPC helms men and now he his willingness to lead this protest against them?
JA.....What is the story?
Tanx 2all hopefuls 4d unpertubed courage dat hav been displayed 2wads dis struggle.Surely we'll all come out victorious. Nothing good has ever come without a price-tag so let all hands continue 2b on deck as there is great light at d end of d tunnel. 2all d comrades i say kudos & keep d fire burning most especially JA,BeBrief,Seunlove,& others who contributed immensely. 2d others who are still swimming in d ocean of pessimism as regards dis struggle,d best is 4u 2join dis moving train cos dats d only reasonable option. All those who at one point or d other tried 2stop d train from taking off hav not only failed but failed woefully, though some repented midway & eventualy joined d train. So i implore all d remaining negatives 2do same cos nothing can be as bad as what d rot & decay in our present system portends 4d average Nigerian Youth. As the saying goes,"You can push a man but you cannot tell him where 2fall.They hav pushed us & we have equally chosen where 2fall. Aluta Continua.
My fellow comrades, I am not only smiling but actually happy. I greet everybody as no effort whatsoever is regarded small. The move we have decided to take is a step in the right direction, though not perfect. We shall continue to learn. let us hit the ground with our peaceful protest on these zones as mentioned on the said date and time.
Permit be to borrow from my fellow comrade invincible, 'IF WE FIGHT WE MAY WIN, IF WE DON'T WE HAVE LOST'. Yes, we need to ask questions and make demand on govt about how Govt policies and her agencies affect lives. One of the greatest reasons why citizens participate in governance is for needed feedback. President Jonathan may not know about this, if not why clamoring for job creation meanwhile many opportunities have not seen the light of the day. Writing to Mr president would have been one of the best. But what about his aids. They can block him from seen it. So, we must hit the ground fast. Meanwhile, anybody who can link us with TVC television channel can come up with details, so that after the protest success, we could have a TV morning show with TVC on wednesday 13th June, 2012. My suggestion. So help us God.
Ginger! Ginger! Ginger! no dulling. I like this.
