    Yes, it is possible to fail medical. But the medical condition you mentioned, asthma, i dont know. But i think it all depends on the discretion of the medical Doctor handling the medical and the COMPANY POLICY. If the company policy overlook an asthmatic patient, then so be it. But the company's policy plays a major role

    Highly unlikely but the letter will say it is not an offer of employment. For an asthmatic patient, just let them know during documentation after the medicals and they won't sebd you to the refinery.

    there is a legal restriction when it comes to refusing to employ some one based on health matters.
    even HIV patients have a right to work.
    the process is to allow management know yorur health status, and how to manage it.
    you can sue for stigmatization.
