A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

Lordkay2010, sometime around last year, u posted that u got a call from NNPC informing u of ur success at d interviews.....

Wats up? Are u still one of us or u ar being trained!!

Loool.....well, time for me to actually tell you guys I'm not even a hopeful, I never applied to NNPC(I actually work for one of the contractors to NNPC), I just find this thread very interesting especially with the likes of vin20, abcd123 and so on

october is the blessed month of hope restoration for the hopeless and december is the long awaited month for both the hopefuls and the hopeless. May the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised, Amen.

hmmm....., naija. had it on good authority that most hopefuls of second batch may have had their names sutituted and cos of that the call for it cancellation is on the top gear among the big wigs in the petroleum ministry. i cant say more cos...... Men of faith are definitely not men of anxiety! They will hardly have the time to post here the way most of us do. The barrage of posts won't produce the letters. People will keep receiving employment letters by Nnpc until close of 2012, while we keep posting. Great faith can do anything,fix anybody up just anywhere, but have we got it? Congratulations to the few who are yet to receive their letters.
But truly, Nnpc is no great place at all! Don't ask me pls. Shalom.

U r right bro! It's not as great as most people see it, though I'll take d offer if I get it o cos it's still better than the bank I work at the moment.

I understand what u r talking about cos I have one of the successful GTs squatting with me here in Warri. Let them do whateva they like with the 2nd list. Ain't bothered anymore. U'll only get it if it's meant 4 u.

NNPC will transform soon after passage of PIB.That is the only good news about getting in about this tme or next year.It can also be a stepping stone to hit the MNCs if you are a real professional that knows what you are doing.
My fellow bankers,you need to polish yourself and become skilled.A situation where an engineering(or any other) graduate working in a bank as a marketer or in operations for 6 or more years,has no certification or real experience to apply for a job outside banking is not good.
Nigeria has alot of people with qualifications and skills and we need to up our game to compete favourably.
However,it is also on record that bankers are the sharpest applicants in Naija now.They are everywhere looking for alternative employments.

Before I forget,nkechiu and ABCD123 cracked my ribs this evening.Haba!, you guys should take it easy on us now.It's never a crime to hope and pray.We will make it and I know you will be glad we did.Some of us are not under pressure to get a job or change a job.We know what we are looking for and Almighty God has signed it. Oh,I remember the good old days at d Great Oba Awon University, during the time of HemHem, Sabiru & Ola Diamonds;
-where challenges are always attacked with Aluta & dexterity in d command of English.
-where "Will exam hold" always lead to closure of d school.
-where there is no social life but d craze of graduating with a first class or 2.1
-where i av to climb the SW hills and highlands just to study rocks.
-where it's no big deal for any student not to graduate in a department.
-where it is fashionable to have extra years.
I went, I saw and I Conquered. But looking back from a vintage position now, i av come to realize dat the Race is not to the Swift,neither is d Battle to the Strong, nor Bread to the Strong man...but TIME & CHANCE happeneth to dem all. I have decided to wait for my time and exploit all available chances.

JA made a statement b4 getting his Chevron Job that with time those dat were not called by NNPC will thank God 4 not bin called. Most of us did not understand him den. Am happy 4 him and I believe I will also testify, I dont know about you.

This is not the time for ALUTA (as of old) or finger pointing but a time to bend on our knees. There is a passage in a great book that says "When d Lord turned the Captivity of Zion, they were like dem dat dream dreams". God is still in the business of turning Nonentities to Celebrities!

With or without NNPC, the future is still bright,...SEE YOU GUYS AT THE TOP!

You see i do not like nigerian graduates that think that NNPC job is a do or die affair.

For God's sake,there are better offers out there.


I have seen people who made it into NNPC at the 3rd attempt.


For privileged info,the person who was saddled with 2010 recruitment says no 2nd batch.Who will you believe more when all letters were issued from his/her table?


It is sad watching people hoping for nothing while the person raising their hopes(BP) is somewhere in Warri enjoying.
