Nothing is going on, i hv been standing at total bt no body is there. Dix my number 08063828927
If it has to hold, let it be a condolence visit. Placards should have words like: "NNPC 2010 hopefuls condoles with the NNPC family".... I would suggest it holds tomorrow. At this moment, i don't think we have a concrete plan. Today can be used to restrategized. Bebrief, can we hear from your end sir.
Good day forumite...i have been to the supposed take off ground of d abuja protest(total filling station opp. NNPC office) and didn't see any comrade in sight...have we changed our mind or what?
Nothing but as we planned. I hereby declare d PROTEST begins
the protest should be suspended.also it is not humane to go there to sympatise wif them and then ask for letters.if we agree to go for condolence,we should without mentioning anytin else.they will definately know the group of people we are representing.
The insensitivity of man rears its head. We now want to seize the opporunity to profit ourselves or our situation. When the corporation lost 2 of its own, even if we refuse to mourn with the bereaved at this time.... man must eat man... and u speak of noble intentions?
Dont be over zealous.... calm down and restrategize if need be
I am surprised dat haven published d recruitment scam article in 2day's national mirror and clearly stated in d same paper dat protest will hold 2day. Comrades y are retreating. I pity u, mgt will change next week. Bye 4now
I think we should just pospone this protest as i have been to total filling station abuja thrice and didn"t see anyone to join me, besides i don't think the mgt of NNPC will listen to us now as i heard from grapevine that three NNPC staff were amongst those who crashed yesterday...may be next week monday will be good....just a suggestion
Yes. D management wil change next week.
Nna mehn!!
Let us pay them a condolence visit and use the opportunity 2 seek answers 2 our numerous questns. Dont 4gt dat mgt wil change nxt wk. As 4 me im in Total fuel statn waitn 4 d othr comrades
Its a pity. Fickle minded cowards. So all these for nothng?? Mscheeeeew!!
U guys shd know dat anybody could av died!!
Dis protest wil neva hold again!!
I jst pray d 2008 stuff won't repeat itself!!
Oohh noo!! Somebody save me.. My blood is boiling..
I don arrive the coporation already, the staff there are begging seriously.
I will pull down this coporation.. I go destroy every...
lillies d essence of d suspension is not as a result of sympathy or cowardise. It is so cos we need ONE STRONG and UNITED house to do dis. We cant do it a divided house. If very few protesters go dere now dey'l eventually get d same treatment or even worse as dose of 2008 protesters.
Besides, d press, which is an essential contributor to d effects of d protest, are busy looking for plane crash headlines. Next Monday'l be good i think.
An impromptu meeting delayed me this morning! But am going out now to join my brethren at the Towers
Move on guys, more greese to your elbow whether we succeed or not. God will continue to be with us.
I support your points
this is not being a coward.this is being humane.and if u do anytin today, you will not gain the required attention.we are graduates for Gods sake.lets use our heads.
I've never commented here b4 but i am forced to by this Mr. Sunadex's comment! How INSENSITIVE can u be really? wat do u mean by all NNPC ogas wey dey delay ur letters, who is next now you just sit behind ur desk and write very implicative comments! How do u kno that the nnpc staff that lost their lives have anything to do with the delay of the recruitment You forget that Mr. Levi and other nnpc staff that lost their lives have a family too or do you think the world revolves around nnpc recruitment!!!! Utter rubbish!
We are waiting for other hopefuls at d Abuja protest take off ground, we need numerical strenght please. the death of levi ajuonuma is inconsequential, after all Nigerians have been dying. who can prove that some hopefuls did not die in d course of attending d test and interview? did that prevent NNPC from going about their normal activities? dont give us d inpression that you guys are chicken livered. if d protest fail to hold today it may never hold again, this is the last chance to save the recruitment.
May the souls of those who died in the crash rest in peace. But,let say the reality, even b4 the plane crash, what had NNPC did to our recruitment? Our nation is a terrible state. Things are not right in all ways. God must rule this country by Himself to have a better Nigeria.
@ All: I’ve been dumbfounded. My tongue is cleaved to my mouth and I can’t speak right now. This situation confirms the fact that “”man proposes but God deposes”. You guys have all suggested well, but the best I can take for now is let the struggle/ protest be suspended a while. The entire nation is in the state of mourning as declared by the president. Any protest now will not portray us in good light, as we may be seen as wicked and insensitive about the country. Besides, there is a clarion call to mourn this national disaster. KAFOX made a salient observation that could it be Levi was traveling to Lagos in respect of the planned protest? If you think the NNPC mgt is not aware of the whole brouhaha on ground, then you goof. I still believe that all things work together for the good of those who love God. I will suggest we send representatives to discuss with the management after one week. This means that we need to forward notification of meeting after the expiration of the three day mourning. During this time, we will express our condolence in the letter ( I won’t support meeting them now in condolence). If there is resistance to grant us audience, then we slate a protest on June 18 (to create allowance of time). Change of mgt will not deter this decision, in as much as the corporation stands. Thanks my comrades.
To all our gallant soldiers on ground, I doff my cap for you guys. You are one of the few bravos. Pls lets withdraw tactically and lay in wait. The battle is still not over. Just go home from your respective venues for heaven's sake. Today is really a bad day for this protest. Don't be discouraged. Lets understand with ourselves. And remember, "United we stand, but divided we fall". One luv.
Fellow hopefuls, lets keep our arrows in the quiver, this is not the best time to release a shot, if we do release a shot, it will most likely be feeble.
Anytime after the three days of national mourning will do.
Ok. But I've Destroyed so many things already.. Dat thier building have been bring down.
Also my boys in warri have already burnt that thier refinary.
Since una say make i stop.. Make i pack my.... Go back..
But i promise u guys, I must arrest Oniwon.

@all. I agreed with those that say we must carry on with the protest, as well as those that say we should put the protest on hold. There are different ways of killing a dog other than hanging it. I beleieve providence has given us this opportunity-opportunity to protest in a very subtle way. Nigerians like curry favour, NNPC as an organisation is not exempted here. Let us carry out a protest( ie condolence visit) within the three(3) days that President GEJ has set aside for national mourning. We can call ourselves something like..... you guys know, who knows the GMD who I heard may leave office this week may give us the letters for our presumed sympathy. What do you guys think? Just trying to play it the Nigerian way!! God bless the departed souls.
Typical Nigerians no liver. Dem go just make mouth at d end nothing go happen. Though I did nt apply coz I was nt eligible den. But if nigrians continue to be chicken hearted, these politicians will continue to play with our future. Imagine someone sitting in her confort Zone, without apllying for any job , but was given appointment letter frm ministry of water resources barely 2 months after she passed out of NYSC,coz she knows some well meaning politicians. when a lot of applicant hav files dat has not been considered by Civil service commission. Is this how we will continue in dis country.
A serious fight in yaba area of lagos state that claim d lives of atleast fifteen people now, lets be reasonable ladies and gentlemen, d suspension does'nt mean we're coward,if we're to act base on wickedness dat exist in d land, nothing will stop dis protest,we remains patriotic citizens.
My warm greetings goes to all. And sympathy to the family of those who were involved in the plane crash. I sincerely thank the whole house for contributions throughout the process of stagging a peaceful protest in respect of delay in 2012 NNPC recruitment. It can easily be said that the crash had affected the planned protest. But the struggle continues. In my own opinion, I would want us to access how successful or otherwise we would have been. Nobody was under any mandate to promise the thread of any rule he or she will play. Everything happened voluntarily. So, those who informed this house of having informed the media can voluntarily feed us back. That will enable us to improve when next we agree. Also, I think it will be wiser if we write a letter of condolence to the management of NNPC and using it as opportunity to inquiry whatever about the 2012 recruitment through the media. Or both letter and physical presence ( peaceful protest). Aluta 4ever.
Me I'm still wondering where Vin20 disappeared to o!
I am shocked people still want to protest after the president declared three day mourning period. Are we sure we are beta than our leaders? What is not right is not right. We need public sympathy and this is no period to gain one.
@wolesmile,
I am also wondering about the sudden disapperance of vin20.
I have permuted that the following must have happened;
1. He is in prison(remember not so many Nigerians hv access to internet, talk less of prisoners).
2. He is terribly ill. May God help him.
3. He relocated outside the country - this is unlikely as he could hv atleast accessed this site frm anywhere in the world.
4. Lastly and the koko is that since he knew the cousin of a GED, he must hv been given the job through backdoor like others JA mentioned. And being the kind of guy I presume he portrayed, he won't come here and brag about it. People like ABCD123 can brag about such shameful and unfair favour.
My thinking though.
ABCD123 it baffles me what ur even doing on this thread cos ur level of english clearly shows that ur neither a graduate nor one of the NNPC HOPEFULS. I cant imagine someone like you standing before an interview panel. That would amount to a colossal damage. When Austin was referring negatively to Nigerian graduates based on the shameful performance of some people on the test, he was simply referring to you. A careful study of ur write up clearly shows that it is not even coming from the same head.
Those of you who knows english very well.. Pls cont doing so while i know my current job very well, i shall resume comentary after todays work.
Good english i guess will only make u a good, permanent comentator in this thread while others are engage somewhere..
Meanwhile, with assurance, This forum is for those who get stressd up during the days work to come and relief part of the stress here..
NNPC.. Is a joker for those living the sleepy way.
The earlier some of realizes this the better.
Realy the crash is painful to all but after some days our Govt, would not take precaution measures again. Mourning or No mourning, what had NNPC did to our recruitment since March 2011 the test was conducted. Even, if the plane did not occur, what hope of our appointments is NNPC has for us? We should not be sentimental on national issues. All things in Nigeria is substandard including human beings.
ABCD if you had any job, your mental state would have reflected in the quality of your contributions on this thread cos your job would have kept you mentally active, & hence your head would have had the capacity to generate reasonable comments. Moreso if trully you do work, at least you would have been in the midst of human-beings at your place of work and as such your reasoning wouldnt have been so sub-human.
It is hope dat keeps me holding on!
I think the best thing this time is to focus on strategies on how to move forward. I beg of us to invest this time on proactive plans. Good day.
I m so glad we acted like great minds and suspended d protest due 2 d events of yesterday. I pray dat GOD comforts us all as a nation. Nevertheless, suspending d protest 4 long may ve d same insignificant effect as holding it during dis mourning period, bcos by den d aluta spirit must ve reduced causing divisions amongst us and may b d present mgt whom we r going there to meet, ll b gone by den. Life goes on, I suggest we carry on with our protest on Thursday, after d 3 days national morning. I believe by then, d dust must have settled, giving us all d attention we need 4rm d media and sympathisers, and those mourning ll begin 2 regain their strength.
