Just spoke with the Training Officer now; he said the Training Programme for Graduate Trainees spans for a period of Eight (8) months. There'll definitely be exams my guys, and those that pass the exams will then be posted out to different SBUs. Pls don't ask me what will happen to those that didn't pass the exams. He then added that, the Training Unit will continue to monitor the GTs for a period of one year {after they have been posted out} to see how there are performing under their different SBUs. Thus, all the GTs in the house, it does not end in receiving your letter; you must strive to pass the final exams in the Training School. Wishing you guys best of luck!!!! For the EHs, there's no Training Programme for you guys, only Induction programe spanning for a few days.
Another quick one... I'm told that the Training Unit is makng provision for 500 GTs. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying 500 GTs will be employed (before gys will start attacking me).... I'm saying a" provision" has been made for 500 GTs by NNPC Training Unit. what I can infer from this is that, 500 will be the maximum number that can be recruited under GTs.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get any info on the proposed number for EH, Operators, nor Contract Hires!!!!!
A lot has been said on the number of people that applied for the different positions and the number of people called for the test and that 4700 people were called for the interview. What I have not heard anybody say is that a lot of people (Experienced Hire) were turned back on getting to the Amphi theatre just during accreditation. They were turned back based on the date on their NYSC discharge certificate. I did my interview on 1st August and was told that they started implementing that 2 weeks before my own interview date. The reason given was that their NYSC certificate reads September 2005. They said they could have accepted them if the date was say April 2005. In the advert for EH, it was stated there that they required 6 years post graduation experience, but on getting to Amphi Theatre, they officers there said what that means is 6 years post NYSC experience. So a lot of people were turned back. They were not given any form to fill, so their transport fare won't even be reimbursed. No trace that they came to Amphi Theatre. While waiting, I could count at least 10 people that were turned back. So, though 4700 were invited for the interview, but I am sure that not 4700 actually did the interview: some turned back, some probably wouldn't have been able to make it.
Another thing that one of the guys said was that it is going to be based on quota system. He said they decided to come in because they discovered that PCL invited some people that had 3rd class. He also said that the states in south west and south east had more candidates that were invited for the interview while those in the north had very few candidates. He gave an example of Ondo state having about 260 in the interview stage while some northern states had 26 people. For the northerners, they don't have to fear, it is those from the south west and south east that would have issues, because they can't take everybody. For instance, going by the figure from Ondo state, I am sure NNPC can't take more that 10% of people from Ondo. On the issue of whether the test will be re-written, I don't think so. A lot of 1st class graduates made it to the oral interview stage. I made a first class in my BSc, Distinction in my HND and ND, and I have worked on projects both home and abroad. I strongly disagree with anyone that say Nigerian 1st class products are not good enough.
@ Animotee and tohbad,
you guys did a good job, please keep it up. Those info are needed at this point in time.
@Lexychux, your info came quite handy too.
Those info gives one hope that the recruitment process is still on.
Keep it up guys
I also got d same info, from one nnpc staff, that letters havent been signed nor dispatched yet but that d process is on-going. God shall surprise us all ijn
Hey guys! I had received my appointment letter before the interview. Just getting ready for the start date. God bless u all. Best of favour.
Maybe he is waiting for reimbursement....lol
It seems only Bsc graduats ar invitd 4 d interview. I av nt seen any HND holder makin coments. Although my friend made distinction and sat for the test but was not called for the interview. Or those it mean that the quota aloted for HND is very thin.
HND guys plenty no be small. I am one of them so are many others too. Dem plenty no be small
we HND holders plenty die
Guys, I am seperated for divine favour. Always treated special. I was offered more than the ten thousand naira transport fare before leaving the towers on the day of my interview. NNPC will never risk losing me; gas and power na my area. God is great. Is my time to shine. Pls key-in to this anointing. Meet u guys there.
Guys, i just got an invitation to go and collect my appointment letter. See you in training school. Until then good bye.
guy,u are not special!!!
there are people that had more favours in the towers than one.maybe u complained that u didn't have transport money and someone offered u that.
everyone has blood running in our veins and so we are all d same.
do u know the qualifications people have? the qualiification u have , someone has it before so u are not special.
no human being in indispensable.
Verily Verily, I say unto you;No man knoweth the time nor the hour when NNPC shall start calling successful ones for it shall be like a thief in the night.Be wise and heed the counsel of the 5 wise virgins.Live prepared.
I just wonder how many will cope if nnpc disappoint them. This confession of faith and conviction... Na wao!
Hope differed makes the heart sick
this thread is becoming B-O-R-I-N-G again.. we need some "spice"... Last week was sensational!!!!
When people are least expecting it, know the letter is close to your door steps. Everybody is waiting for the 3rd and 4th week of october... But why not the 1st and 2nd week!
Just few hours and September is gone. So September-end theorists , you failed. October -Beginning theorists, you are next.
I think some have resume work @ WRPC, saw some GTs mainly from Boko haram side of the country in NNPC bus',some wearing 3/4 trousers..... I asked questions and wz told they are the new GTs(wish it isn't true)........don't mean to cause havoc here, my curiosity stands to be corrected, and really wish it wznt a correct info....... but the info may be useful anyway....... we are all been cajoled(hopefully not)
so the questions you asked was which state each of them is from? We shud reason before being all judgemental and drawing up conclusions. No one is in training for NNPC from wherever. If you'd pray and wait patiently, then thats what you should be doing NOW.
Pray that any plot tonight to bomb nnpc towers shall be void. Pray that tomorow is bomb free day
fire to all enemies of progress in Jesus name
I just hope that NNPC will bring this anxiety down by rolling out our appointment letters. The wait is tiring. But with God all things are possible.
One thing that amaze me in this thread mostly,is how those who have contacts with NNPC GM,TRAINING OFFICER AND HR have never told us the high level of connection they are putting in through these personels to ensure they get the job.I laugh and laugh...they will now come here and profess faith when they know their physical effort.
I believe God. if we wait patiently it shall come to pass.
