NDDC INTERNATIONAL WELDING TRAINING PROGRAMME IN COLLABORATION WITH THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF WELDING (NIW)
In line with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) initiative to build capacity in welding skills in the Niger Delta region, the commission in collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Welding (NIW) intends to train welding inspectors up to the International Institute of Welding IWIP comprehensive category. The training will be conducted overseas and in strict adherence with international best practice
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates MUST meet the following criteria:
1. Ability to communicate effectively in English language
2. A minimum of National Diploma in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science Engineering and Metallurgy
3. Must hail from the Niger Delta Region
4. Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years of age
5. Must possess a medical certificate of fitness from a government hospital, including eye test (optical)
6. Must be prepared to produce a reputable guarantor
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a selection test to be conducted by Nigerian Institute of Welding (NIW)
Note: Admission is strictly on merit
Training will be conducted in accordance with IIW standards and successful candidates will be issued with the IIW Diploma as International Welding Inspector Comprehensive

Handwritten application which may also be submitted at the NDDC state offices, are expected to reach the Director, Commercial and Industrial Development, not later than two weeks from the date of this publication
