ACTIVITIES
Under the responsibility of the SPS QA/QC Leader, the SPS QA/QC Coordinator shall:
Key Objective:
Maintain appropriate records for the efficient operation of SPS Quality Assurance/Control Management System and to provide support to the SPS QA/QC Package
Main Tasks:

  • Ensure SPS Team, CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTORS/Vendor/Supplier are aligned with the project quality policy, objectives and principles.
  • Provide QAQC guidance to personnel within SPS Team
  • Monitor the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) surveillance points and, utilising Contractors ITP database and look-ahead, organise Company QC representation in line with criticality assessment and Project needs
  • Track the delivery of Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) ensuring that they are compiled as per specifications and archived in accordance with Project requirements
  • Compile records of all Quality related notices - QN, NCRs, CARs etc. Follow-up with Contractor to ensure actions are closed in timeframe consistent with Project needs. Perform trend analysis of data to evaluate if there are underlying issues which need to be addressed
  • Track performance of, and output from, QA audits.
  • Actively promote quality awareness and commitment within the Project.
  • Monitor quality performance and coordinate Project quality reporting.
  • Ensure that concessions and deficiencies are properly documented, processed and reported to SPS Project Team.
  • Monitor collation of fabrication quality records to assure accurate and efficient and ‘on time’ delivery of quality records, also to develop and maintain databases for QC inspector reports, Inspector personnel records and quality assurance team activities
  • Ensure Non-conformances are followed and resolved with contractor/supplier/vendors
  • Deputise for SPS QA Lead quality meetings with CONTRACTORS' when he is not available and report back to Project Team.
  • Follow up with the help of other inspectors the Review of the “As Built” Dossier for completeness and correctness
  • Adheres to Company work processes to ensure that deliverables and documents are of consistent high quality
  • Plans work and establishes priorities to ensure work is completed on schedule
  • Represents Company in a positive and professional manner
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by SPS QA Package Leaderand or SPS Package General Manager

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

  • Assist SPS TEAM QC inspection organisation with the planning of inspection visits to suppliers
  • Maintain a weekly status/report to SPS QA QC Package leader and Liaise with Contractor’s Quality Administrator on ITP Live database notifications
  • Send Quality Control Notification to Delivery Managers and Quality Control Inspectors as required
  • Maintaining records of external audits, internal audits, inspection visits, pre-production meetings and records of lesson learnt during the course of the project

  • To fully comply with office security, health and safety instructions.
  • To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
  • To report to Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose way of improvement.
  • To also take care of colleagues safety and behaviour without hesitating to intervene as much as necessary.
  • To give his own input and making sure the workplace is safe (obviously clean and tidy).
  • In doubt to ask questions to gain clarification.
  • To fully comply with Security rules about Travelling in Nigeria.
  • Ensure all HSE issues are properly addressed and monitored by the construction team within his discipline and report to management in accordingly


NECESSARY PROFILE



  • Education:
  • Education to HND level or higher in an Engineering discipline
  • Professional Experience (number of years): 10-15 years experience with Project background within Oil & Gas industry.
  • Quality Control experience is required. Experience on West African yards a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in all aspects of structure, piping, welding, NDE and applicable codes and standards such as ISO, API, ASTM and ASME.
  • Welding and NDE certificate would be an added advantage.
  • A recognized Quality Assurance or Quality Management qualification.
  • Formal training in the new ISO 9001:2008 Standard.
  • Required Competencies:
  • The ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company. In addition, the Candidate must possess very good planning, presentation, negotiations and organizational skills.
  • Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications and MS Project or equivalent a plus.
  • Possess the ability to analyse inspection data trends and make recommendation for inspection level and frequency changes.
  • Good Physical Condition, requires walking, climbing, and tolerance to environmental conditions
  • Must be fluent in English and ability to communicate in French is an advantage.
  • Some assignments may require foreign travel and work in substandard conditions
  • Good communication skills, organizational skills, ability to work as part of a team, attention to details, willingness to work flexibility to meet the demands of the job.
