HR Manager (Construction) needed in ABUJA urgently
Our client, presently handling the biggest construction projects in Abuja needs the services of a Human Resources Manager. The ideal candidate for this role must have ‘hands on’ operational generalist HR background in the Construction industry.


OVERVIEW OF ROLE

• Managing the HR & Personnel function for Construction and all businesses in the group
• Strong leader with great management experience
• Managing and leading the HR team in a professional, intelligent and results driven manner


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Screening resumes and applications
• Participate in the hiring, monitoring, and firing of staff
• Providing employee supervision and evaluations of construction staff
• Creating & maintain personal files for staff
• Training and re-training employees
• Providing mediation services for employees
• Record keeping of employee personal benefits such as remuneration, leave entitlements, end of service, health and medical insurance etc.
• Overseeing the human resources department staff and handling all issues involving employee complaints or questions
• Managing office health, safety and mental health and well-being issues
• Handling conflict & disciplinary situations
• Maintaining existing exclusive partnership with recruitment company
• Improving nationals in the workforce of the company
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
· Prior experience as Manager in a Construction company is a MUST
· Candidate must have managed over 500 members of staff
· Tertiary education or higher qualification
· 5+ years experience in Human Resources Management
