Our client offer’s complete Electrical engineering solutions involving sales and services of several electrical products and accessories to transformers, cables and cable accessories and umbilicals, their products cover Power, Oil & Gas and Telecommunications & they require the services of Head, Business Development (Power)

QUALIFICATION: A good degree in Engineering preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
Product sales and Project executions that are Power related

MAIN DUTIES:
• Developing a viable strategic plan/budget for achieving the department’s short and long term goals
• Making contacts with external customers for their business needs and requirements and building up good business relationships.
• Carrying out site survey; preparing design calculation that will meet customers’ requirements.
• Managing project installations and services to clients.
• Preparing quotations/designs for enquiries received from customers.
• Preparing pre-qualification bids, bids and tender documents
• Planning and coordinating the activities of the department to meet the set target.
• Providing training to team members
• Increasing customer base of the department.
• Developing marketing plans to guide the direction of the department.
• Providing technical experience for the sales team
• Selecting and coordinating sub-contractors handling projects for the department.
• Prospecting for New clients, projects and Sales
• Coordinating the activities of the department with other departments like Finance, logistics and procurement for smooth operation of the department.
• Preparing and presenting weekly/monthly reports to the MD/CEO and report to Management.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENT
• Minimum of 5 years Post NYSC experience, 3 of which must be in a supervisory position in a reputable business environment and professional qualifications.
Age; between 30-45 years

COMPETENCIES:
• Good Understanding and knowledge of the current trends in the power industry.
• Must have supervised power projects from conception to project conclusion
• Should possess significant experience in HV/HT, 11KVA-132KVA installations, Transformer installations and termination, Transmission/Distribution lines installations.
• Good knowledge and Understanding of cable terminations, heat tracing activities
• Good working knowledge of electrical engineering designs
• Knowledge of the telecoms Industry is an added advantage
