A Port Harcourt based Building-Construction company with a rapidly expanding client base requires the services of resourceful, result-oriented and self-motivated young professionals to achieve better quality of service delivery with immediate effect. The available positions are as follows:


SITE ENGINEER
Qualifications:
1. Must possess a B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering/ Building Construction Technology or related courses (minimum of a Second-class, lower division)
2. Must have 3 – 5 years post NYSC experience in Road or Building Construction with a reputable company
3. Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and CAD packages.
4. Membership with recognized Engineering bodies (like COREN) is an added advantage.

Qualities:
- Must have a high level of initiative and demonstrate ability to work (and take sound decisions) without supervision.
- Must be able and willing to work in any location/ terrain, within or outside the country
- Must have impeccable communication, organization and analytical skills.
- Must multi-task excellently and possess excellent finishing skills.
Job Description:
• Managing construction projects;
• Overseeing building work;
• Undertaking surveys;
• Setting out sites and organising facilities;
• Supervising contracted staff; ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales;
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff;
• Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings;
• Providing technical advice; problem solving;
• Ordering and negotiating the price of materials;
• Ensuring site safety.



EQUIPMENT MANAGER
Qualifications:
1. Must possess a B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering or related courses (minimum of a Second-class, lower division)
2. Must have 3 – 5 years post NYSC experience in Construction with a reputable company
3. Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and CAD packages
4. Membership with recognized Engineering bodies (like COREN) is an added advantage.
Qualities:
- Must have a high level of initiative and demonstrate ability to work (and take sound decisions) without supervision.
- Must possess sound, practical knowledge of the workings and operational peculiarities of common heavy-duty equipment employed in construction
- Must be able and willing to work in any location/ terrain, within or outside the country
- Must have great communication/ inter-personal skills as well as analytical abilities.
- Must multi-task excellently.

COST ENGINEER
Qualifications:
1. Must possess a B.Sc degree in Quantity Surveying or related courses (minimum of a Second-class, lower division)
2. Must have 3 – 5 years post NYSC experience in Road or Building Construction with a reputable company
3. Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and CAD packages
4. Membership with recognized Engineering/ Surveying bodies is an added advantage.
Qualities:
- Must have a high level of initiative and be extremely meticulous with figures/ financial details
- Must be able to work (and take sound decisions) with minimal supervision
- Must have a detailed knowledge of the financial/ cost implications of various elements of work in road and/or building construction
- Must be able and willing to work in any location/ terrain, within or outside the country
- Must have great communication/ inter-personal skills as well as analytical abilities
- Must multi-task excellently
Job Description:
- Perform a variety of cost engineering functions encompassing estimating, cost control, budge preparations, forecasting, cost reporting under limited supervision.
- To perform and ensure an effective cost control function for on going project.
- Ability to interpret contract, manage financial risk, estimating and forecasting.
- Maintain current cost control database.
- Review proposed schedule changes with construction personnel, client and contractors.
- Support Project Control Manager on adhoc assignment.

MATERIAL MANAGER
Qualifications:
1. Must possess a B.Sc degree in Engineering related courses (minimum of a Second-class, lower division) from a reputable Higher Institution
2. Must have at least 2 years post NYSC experience (carrying out related responsibilities) in Road or Building Construction with a reputable company
3. Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite
4. Membership with recognized Engineering/ Surveying bodies is an added advantage
Qualities:
- Must be extremely meticulous with record keeping and very thorough with analysis of figures/ financial details
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able and willing to work in any location/ terrain, within or outside the country
- Must have good communication/ inter-personal skills
- Must have a high level of initiative
Job Description:
- Conducting market survey and analysis of material cost and prices.
- Planning and making budget for procuring materials.
- Coordinating and negotiating with vendors for price and procurement.
- Organizing and supervising the shipping and receiving of all materials.
- Developing procurement plans, assessing transportation, and carting of materials.
- Formulating of contracts and release of orders to suppliers.
- Managing records of all stock and inventory.
- Making assessment reports of availability, price, market survey and supply of material.
- Maintaining the standard and quality of goods and materials.
- Recruitment of materials staff and organizing of necessary training for them.
