Please has anyone for Chemical engineering been invited?
I am very hopeful for good news.
@ those asking (via PM's) how I prepared for the Chevron Skills Test. That's a very hard one, because I wasnt able to prepare that well due to illness. I referred to both the DOE PDF Books & IEC GMAT Book but nothing I read came out.
Infact, I was very disappointed in my performance. I even questioned myself as a Process Engineer. So, it was God oh!!! I told myself that day I will attempt any question I could attempt, whether or not it was for graduates or experienced engineers - I was just going to attempt anything.
@storckTL87, I must congrat you for making it to the next stage. It was not that we were better than others. Pls know how you reply to others because from your statement, someone may inteprete that you answered more than the required questions (8 questions) and were judged based on 8 questions which gave you a leverage. Wishing all invited and those not invited yet success . Cheers.
I don't quite follow? I have used the words "attempt" & "disappointed", I have not stated that I was better than anyone. Anyways, if that's what you got from my words, I apologise. I am not better than anyone, I have only God to give praise to. How Chevron marked our papers, I don't know - what I know is that I ATTEMPTED as many questions as possible because I was left with no choice.
Also, how you got from what I said that attempting more questions gave me a leverage, I don't know oh!!
Good day all! Pls does anyone ve an idea if business analyst ve been called 4test/interview
Storch congrats o, and i wish you the best at the next stage. I was not invited for the skill test but i would like you to share your experience of it with me. Please, in what aspects of chemical engineering were you tested? I'm a batch B corps member and will be passing out next year June. This would go a long way to help.
Hello, the topics covered included: Calculating Expected Monetary Value, Drawing Decision Trees, Mass Balances, Calculating Reynolds Number, Calculating Pressure Drop (using Friction Factor), Sizing an Orifice Meter, Safety Analysis (API 14C), Table of Symbols (P&ID), Compressor Calculations (Single Stage, Multiple Stages), Pump Calculations (Mass, Pressure, Velocity). Also know your conversions, in particular Barrels, Inches, Feet. Hope this helps.
For all those that did the skills test and passed, CONGRATS. Can anyone let me know the nature of questions for the Mechanical/subsea?
