I think anyone that actually asks for information such as these is actually selfish. Everybody on that interview list is YOUR COMPETITION. Giving out any kind of info about the interview puts you at a disadvantage. You won't be rewarded for telling others the format of the interview. I assume every one here is a college graduate. Get on the internet and research interviews. PRACTICE and be yourself. Asking specifics about an interveiw that others did is selfish. They did not get any info when they went in so why should you. If you get specifics, don't you think you would have added advantages over the others? His response is absolutely perfect and i wont expect any less from others. Everyone is your competition whether you like it or not. If you need general interviewing tips, search the net. This is a general response and not aimed at you storck187. Just quoted you cos i know a lot share your opinion.
Re: 2012 ExxonMobil Engineering Recruitment (Trainee and Experienced Professionals)
I understand all of that, and personally if anyone opened up and said I was asked so, so and so - I will be very surprised.
However, what I mean by tips, could be "The interview was competency based" or "The interview was purely technical" or something along those lines. ExxonMobil's competencies are on their website, its only expected that any applicant going for an interview with them should know by now what their competencies are.
Just my view sha, but I understand your point.
PS - The act of selflessness is definately rewarded by God, and whether or not an individual decides to share his experience during an interview - HIS job will still be HIS job and no man on earth will change that. :)
