A NEWLY ESTABLISHED FINANCE AND LEASING COMPANY IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION

ACCOUNTANT/ADMIN OFFICER:

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepares and regularly updates the company’s financial records.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Prepare financial management reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
  • Monitor and support taxation issues
  • Develop and maintain financial data bases.
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
  • Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
  • Simultaneously performs administrative functions within the organization
  • Any other duties as may be delegated by the Managing Director.
  • Reports directly to the Managing Director.

Requirements
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of initiative
  • Good communication skills.

Qualifications
  • A good first degree in accounting.
  • ICAN certification will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, particularly excel is essential.
  • Knowledge of accounting software.
  • 2 – 3 years hands on experience
  • 25 – 29 years.
