Wanted Urgently: ACCOUNTANT/ADMIN OFFICER
A NEWLY ESTABLISHED FINANCE AND LEASING COMPANY IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION
ACCOUNTANT/ADMIN OFFICER:
Main Responsibilities
- Prepares and regularly updates the company’s financial records.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Prepare financial management reports
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
- Monitor and support taxation issues
- Develop and maintain financial data bases.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
- Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
- Simultaneously performs administrative functions within the organization
- Any other duties as may be delegated by the Managing Director.
- Reports directly to the Managing Director.
Requirements
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail
- High level of initiative
- Good communication skills.
Qualifications
- A good first degree in accounting.
- ICAN certification will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, particularly excel is essential.
- Knowledge of accounting software.
- 2 – 3 years hands on experience
- 25 – 29 years.
