Hamilton Lloyd and Associates - Our client is a mid-size engineering and project management company with businesses in home building, real estate, telecommunications and power sectors in Lagos, Nigeria but with operations in other African countries (Gabon, Ghana, Congo Uganda and Tanzania). Due to internal expansion in their Lagos branch, they have decided to hire professional Technical Operations Leader to be based full-time in Nigeria and work with the team of Nigerian and international shareholders and consultants, to oversee the organization and implementation of project-specific field work.

Job Title: Technical Operations Leader

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the General Manager to determine the size and composition of field teams needed on a per project basis
  • Lead the efficient organization field work
  • Contribute to product & service development
  • Oversee implementation of inâ€Âfield project work, supervising the individual members of the team, evaluating the quality of work, correcting any problems with that work, and/or replacing team members if needed.

Deliver contractual agreements with both Utility firms and endâ€Âusers
The following qualifications are required:

General Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience with at least seven (7) years experience in Electricity sector, preferably in the distribution segment.
  • Fluent in English
  • Available for longâ€Âterm field work in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrable Leadership skills
  • Experience in the management of large field teams and projects delivery.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Experience of more than five (5) years in management of fieldâ€Âwork crews.
  • Experience in activities related to technical faults callâ€Âouts and resolution, and utility meters installation and management.
  • Demonstrable experience in the area of loss reduction, meters installation and management activities.
